Love the new blocks, a nice new decoration addition to Minecraft, more please! i'd love to see more decoration blocks in the future, i also kinda am hoping they make stairs and slabs out of all the new concrete and terracotta blocks.
I think the update looks ok, but kind of incomplete for a true "creative mode update". There is so many things they could have added that are based on already existing blocks.
Slabs and stairs versions of the new blocks?
Diorite, granite, andesite slabs, bricks and stairs?
Cobbled diorite, granite and andesite?
Stained clay bricks of some sort?
Even coloured redstone lamps maybe?
How about expanding the colour palette of blocks (wool, stained clay, etc.) to make it as versatile as leather armour colours?
There is so much that can be added into the game... but noooo...
In summary, the new 1.12 update looks awesome, but incomplete. I don't feel like they're putting their best effort into the creative aspect of the game, probably because the playerbase now consists of people who prefer PvP and more "challenge" in a game that is supposed to be about building with a slight touch of survival, not survival with a slight touch of building.
But that's just my opinion. The update is good, but could have been way better

I totally agree with this, even though I am a player who prefers more of a challenge and I spend most of my time in hard survival.
I think the new terracotta blocks are ridiculous. They don't match the style of the rest of the game at all, and it would have been MUCH more beneficial if they had added the other things suggested above. Why there are no slabs and stairs for blocks like granite, diorite, andesite, prismarine, obsidian, etc. when there are for much newer blocks like pupur is unfathomable? And while I don't mind the new concrete blocks, the fact that they are limited to the same small color palette, and can't be crafted into other forms (slabs, stairs, bricks) makes them far less desirable or useful.
Vote here! ^^^^^^^^^^
Well, 4:0 says it's good right now, so I guess the terracotta blocks can't be that bad after all.
You may want to read my post while you still can, some of them have been randomly disappearing lately *cough*
The terracotta blocks look wonderful and adds some spice to Minecraft!
