I would do ANYTHING to get that Bark Blocks! Right now the only way is WorldEdit (I think.) It would be great building for trees! It's not that hard to do if you have WorldEdit, but is still kind of annoying. Come on Mojang!
Also MCedit and /setblock. But yeah, placing blocks in the world after their carryable items have been destroyed by Mojang's minor feature steamroller is shockingly difficult. I used to be able to /give myself a seamless stone fullslab and place it with utter ease. Also, why the heck would they remove the fire item? I'm pretty sure it wasn't harming anything... I really could have used that stuff in a future CTM. (I wanted bats to drop fire so that players could grind for chainmail.)

So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
Jeb says the next snapshot is going to make the steady march of hunger move way more slowly for everything other than regenerating our health!
1.11 is going to be sweet.

Here's the source for the above information in case anyone was wondering.
"We aim to do a snapshot tomorrow.
One of the news is that I've significantly decreased hunger rate for all actions except healing"
That is very exciting. I mean healing currently is the biggest hunger consumer, but the fact that you now won't starve from sprinting 3 blocks is very nice. Eating in the midst of combat every 5 seconds was also quite annoying, so hopefully it's much less intrusive as it was before.
I'm starting to think that the reveal of new features at Minecon may mean that 1.11 is going to be pretty crazy.
It's been carefully modulated to make 1.10 seem a bit bigger than it actually was.
Nothing could do that.

Thank. God. Finally hunger is getting nerfed. It was becoming more of a nuisance than a balancing factor.
Figured it was time for a change.
