Everyone seems to love enjoying the fun new Shulkers and End. I do to, so I decide to jump into the overworld and relax a bit with the other effects:
Levitation and "Glowing"
Some things I documented about Levitation:
1) You move at about the speed as walking on ice.
2) You vertical movement is the speed by blocks/second. (So a lvl 1 levitation is one block off the ground, lvl 2 two blocks, etc)
3) A potion version is available, is exactly the same as getting hit. It's Potion color is white, brighter than invisibility potions' color.
4) Extreme high values of 250's make you fall slowly, with 255 having no falling at all!
--a)As a side note, the higher values also make it so that if you take fall damage, you receive all the vertical momentum of the fall! Making you bounce really high!
--b)A value of 128 makes you fall EXTREMELY fast, if it wears off and you get hit on the next tick, you also bounce extremely high too.
5)Called "potion.levitation" in the inventory.
Some things I documented about "Glowing"(Spectral Arrows name of the effect)
1)It's the only potion that higher level values wont effect. A level 100 "Glowing" potion is the same as a level 1 "Glowing" Potion.
2)It's potion version is very similar to Invisibilities color but slightly lighter in color.
3)Upon drinking it you start to glow, but you only see it in F5 mode.
4)Items such as swords and steak, render in a box shape rather the items shape
Some things I documented about the potions in general:
1)Now removed the damage value of potions, so now they are divide into "Splash" and "regular" potions.
2)The effects only work by NBT data rather than the old damage values.
3)Splash potions from the creative menu work, but for some reason DOESN'T work by /give commands. (You get the potion, but throwing it has no effect)
4)Splash potion of "water" added? Doesn't function toward Blazes and Enderman sadly.
So what tag would give us a splash potion{Spash:1}? And also if you use the splash potion of water and you aim it near a fire it will spawn water temporarily but this will only work if splashed near fire as I've stated earlier.

Drinkable potions now use an ID of "minecraft:potion" while splash potions use an ID of "minecraft:splash_potion". Instead of using Damage values, the "Potion" item tag stores a name ID of a potion. Note that these names IDs are only those specific to default potions, not what you can get with the /effect command:

I'm not grasping what benefit Glowing gives. Does the area around you glow?

Whatever I just said, I didn't mean any offense. Unless we're fighting, in which case I probably did.
If I said something was a joke when it didn't seem like one, I'm making an excuse to avoid an argument I know is coming. Instead of telling me how not funny I am and how it didn't seem like a joke at all, just go along with it. Because flame wars suck and nobody wants to be a part of one.
Roughly 95% of Minecraft players hate Villagers and would be very happy if they were removed. If you are one of the 5% who actually like villagers, copy this into your signature.-RainbowGirl
The damn image won't work-screw my iPad!-but you should click this link. Now. Or you'll regret it...because this suggestion is epic.
it highlights you (if you use the effect command) or the mob/animal you hit with the spectral arrows so you can see it through blocks. it also seems like a cool idea to scare people that are unaware of it if you use invisibility potions/effect with it
Why rename existing potions when so very far from completing the new arrow code? New mobs, AI, shields, plants, items, and blocks don't break existing maps.
Please tell me they didn't excluded my maps from using new snapshots today to someday add two piece extended range thrown potions that look like arrows

Do the missing potion effects work with this?
Praise be to Spode.
As far as I could read from the source, we're restricted to those IDs.

It's more of a negative potion effect. The glowing outline of the mob affected can be seen through blocks, so it allows you to track an entity.
