I don't think we are going to allow this 1.9 thread to simply become a 1.10 thread, since we want discussions about 1.9 and potential information about 1.10 to remain separate to avoid confusion.
Waking up on 1st of March (yes I know it's 29th February according to GMT time, but look at my location), and 1.9's out! Finally! Also, when is 1.10's first snapshot coming out? Hopefully within a few months.
And by the way Mojang only took long with 1.9 because they were bought by Microsoft (they had to work out plans) and they made this ridiculous April fools update that doesn't even need to exist.
Lastly, I can't stop getting over the weird date for an update. I'm so weird.

BTW, it's really interesting Samuel Aberg is credited for "Music and sounds". Might he have created the new sounds? Even more interesting that he's credited for Music too. Might he collaborate with C418 for "Minecraft Volume Gamma" or something like that? I read in Twitter that C418 will make more Minecraft music, so it's confirmed there will be more.

So, still a minor issue that can be resolved by a complete rewrite of the lighting engine while also adding the possibility of more lighting features like colored lighting or maybe even dynamic lighting (As an option).
Every time i go into one of my worlds, the chunks flash differently, not allowing me to play. Why is this?
this did not happen in version 1.8 or in the 1.9 snapshots.
Same problem I have. Just restart up the launcher and the game.
I hope Mojang fix this soon.

To avoid confusion, we want these types of threads to be specific to a particular major version of Minecraft, especially when new and old versions might have overlapping periods of development (such as Minecraft 1.9 post-release patching and 1.10 pre-release information or snapshots). Since there is already a thread exclusively focusing on information about 1.10 (and not trying to be a 1.9 and 1.10 thread simultaneously), that thread would be a better fit as the active "official" discussion thread for 1.10.
I have no problem keeping this thread open as a continued discussion about 1.9, but having two redundant 1.10 threads would simply cause confusion and would result in the typical things we see with redundant threads: duplicate discussions copied back and forth, posts in one thread linking to posts in the other thread, people assuming that since there are multiple threads, they can go ahead and create a thread of their own discussing the same subject, people confusing one thread for the other and getting upset about not finding a particular conversation they might have been keeping track of, etc.
I really can't think of any benefit there would be to the forum in allowing multiple redundant 1.10 informational threads to exist that would outweigh the issues that we would have to deal with resulting from that.

I am back on 1.8.9 just because of it.
The combat sucks in this update... If servers update it will be rip minecraft forever. PVP is so boring now and it takes forever to kill anything
