Well hold on, that's all very well and nice, but how am I supposed to get those structures into my completed 1.8 world?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
Is it just me, or do those "Endermen" have horns, and are they just a bit shorter than normal?
I cannot wait for this-- I hope that's a dungeon and not a village, because i'm suddenly imagining The End as some endgame dungeon sky-world where you explore dungeons and get good gear for taking on more dungeons.
Really excited. One thing that disappoints me about this though, as that as far as I can tell, there haven't been any announcements on any updates to the Nether (as far as I know?), which you can access much earlier than the end (atleast so far, there might be something to make getting to the end easier in the 1.9 update) and I would imagine way more stuff could be figured out for it (and you are probably gonna spend much more time there so you can get to a fortress), and you don't really have much to do in the end and it isn't really that safe at all, because the Ender Dragon (especially if it can re-spawn) and all the Enderman, so I am kinda wondering why we would be getting an update on the End and not the Nether...
Oh well. Maybe that image means that there can be structures that won't be broken/ perhaps the ender dragon can't fly through and destroy everything anymore?
Edit: After zooming in some, I saw that those buildings look like they might have some kind of Endstone Brick.
Armor Stands can now use both hands, as players can.
The wither's boss bar is more purple, and can display in addition to the enderdragon's.
There are four endermen visible off to the right.
When you brighten the photo, you can see the mystery block hiding behind the armor stand, and that the obsidian pillar that the photo is taken in front of has a large chunk taken out of it. The mystery block appears to be luminescent, emitting light in a manner similar to glowstone. (we know one thing about it's properties now!) There is also something nestled on top of the obsidian pillar to the far right, probably a bedrock block.
EDIT: Searge has revealed that the mystery block will not be in-game, but used internally to help build generated structures. Little disappointed but also excited too, as this means structures will have changes. The fact that the block is next to the broken pillar leads me to believe that pillars will be able to generate with holes in them.
Any mob can dual wield, and it will display, but they will not use this item, it is solely for aesthetic purposes. This could be useful for map makers however.
In the background, there are a bunch of dispensers pointing at variously equipped armor stands, probably Searge experimenting with how equipping will work with two hands.
There are a few small, black lines in the water pool, appear to be arrows.
There is an ender portal in the background, further hinting at end changes.
Random glass blocks scattered about the background. Probably just for the sake of being confusing.
I can't wait to see where this goes, the end has needed updating for forever!

Hi.
Does anyone find it funny that the Minecraft forums still think that Minecraft is misspelled? Or is it just me?
Looks awesome, all I know is that something ( or manythings) will be revealed in minecon, hence the silence on twitter
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHB-jmJ-pnUivePakfs3LXQ
Hopefully they won't crush my dreams by revealing that those aren't generated.
If they are generated, then this is awesome
Those figures standing towards the left of bottom of the structure don't look like Endermen, the legs are too long...
Well hold on, that's all very well and nice, but how am I supposed to get those structures into my completed 1.8 world?

You either hope Jeb made it so that the end can generate further, or you delete your End file.
Perhaps they generate after the dragon's death.
If you are planning to make a suggestion, please read this.
If you want to know more, you can read this.
For those who complain about post-Beta generation, you might want to see this.
or could it be something that is where the ender dragon sits until you find it?

artist, writer, content producer.
Perhaps inside those purple roofed endstone houses are the Endercrystals?
Or maybe the End generates more like the Nether and the Overworld now, and that's just a dungeon you can find by exploring?
Damn Leviathan that end picture looks awesome. I'm getting so pumped for 1.9 and I'm still e njoying the hell out of 1.8
good times at the moment.
Dat end pic *^*
So are we going to have fortresses in the end too?

Is there a reason the endstone in Searge's tweet looks 2 different colors, or is that just from a difference in height/distance?
Updated with more info! Thanks for helping, @Derborgus3333

1.9 looks like it will be cool. I'm quite surprised with the new looking End. I wonder how it will work.
I bet my 1.9 hype will die once I get to play Terraria 1.3 though.
Praise be to Spode.
