This sounds great! But I think there should be special animals that appear in different seasons. Like artic owl appear in winter. And with animals that hibernate like squirrels that are found alot in spring and summer but there are a few in fall and none in winter.
PS: Sorry if this is a tid bit off topic but I'm still talking about seasons! Sorry about misspelled words. And Im only 10
Personaly I do not like the idea of seasons I go to a place to build because I love the area it is I love everything about it and it just a pain making a farm or a house just to get snow everywhere and some placeses seasons should not chnage like the mesa ,desert and Ice spikes biomes
I've wanted seasons for Minecraft ever since I started playing. And of course, my hopes have been up ever since Dinnerbone made that tweet 18 months ago. In fact, I think he was talking about it long before that.

I think you are going to love my Survival Let's Play series on YouTube! It's called Spaceboot1's Garden. I make pretty things.
That'd make the game even more fun! Then you'd have to be careful on your food sources as I know some foods give less or more hunger then others! That'll be nice
I like that idea as well! People aren't as scared of hunger as they should be. I mean it would be nice to add some thing that makes Minecraft in the slightest a bit harder. I mean in Easy the changes should be minimal (like it barely affects you) and in medium it should affect you a little more and in hard it should COMPLETELY AFFECT YOU!
If Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter were shut down at the same time 90% of teens would freak out on the spot. If you're that 10% that is laughing at them put this in your signature!

I support all of these wonderful ideas click on them to take you to the forum posts!
I would like to see that implemented for leaf colors with a configurable gamerule to set the season. Our Halloween Festival would be even better if we had this option so that all players could enjoy the change without downloading a resource pack (which they would usually skip doing). Those servers who don't want this could just set the gamerule to summer: (summer, fall, winter, spring, gamedaycycle X).
I like the idea! I don't think that you should burn up in hot weather. Maybe you would just lose hunger faster, or not be able to sprint for long durations. Maybe they will add thirst. ( Hopefully Not ). I think that you should add craft-ables such as a coat, pants, and boots. Have a single one of the items would allow you to not freeze as fast in cold conditions. Having all three on at once would prevent you from freezing indefinitely. Maybe if you put coal into a heater, it would keep the the area around you warm for an 8 x 8 space. I don't think an AC is necessary for summers. Also in fall, leaves should fall from the trees. In Oak Woods and Birch Forests the trees would turn yellow, orange, and brown. In winter, trees could be more bear. Maybe in winter new mobs such as rabbits would hibernate, making them impossible to find.
I love this idea especially with the hu ranting animals which would make the game harder!

You can freeze to death in extremely cold weather and set on fire in extremely hot weather. \Adding potions of freezing and fire are also good ideas. potion of fire is crafted in a brewing stand with adding a fire charge to an awkward potion. The potion of freezing is the same except with packed ice instead of a fire charge. Lastly add 2 new blocks called the AC and the heater. I don't have a crafting recipe right now but if someone has an idea post it below. \

While I love the idea of seasons, please no "temperature bar" or need to keep a stable temperature to survive. The only things seasons should affect, in my opinion, are:
- Colors of leaves on trees.
- Crop growth rates, with fall being the fastest and winter the slowest.
- Chance of snowfall, in temperate biomes (only in winter) and in non-snowy cold biomes (fall, winter, and spring).
- Mob difficulty (since in most ancient myths/religions, winter is the season of death, so increased monster spawns would be cool)

I can live with this. As curious as I am to see something like EnviroMine get put into vanilla minecraft, I don't think we need to go that far. Dealing with water quality and temperature effects would be an interesting challenge as to base design, but for the first few days of a new game, it would be prohibitively difficult. I can't imagine playing vanilla hardcore in such circumstances, for example.

The seasons should be mostly aesthetic. Temperature bars, catching on fire, and freezing would just be annoying

That would be amazing! Mojang could also use the opportunity to flesh out the farming system a bit more.
