Guys that photo is Cthulu in a Lovecraft style photo. It's validity I can't confirm. I hope it's real, having Cthulu would be awesome. It might be like a serpent of types. That'd be cool.Oh wait, just saw the Cthulu update thing. Feel dumb now. Jeb didn't post that, checked. It was a joke.
Is this really what he posted? Can I have the link to Jeb's twitter of him posting this?
If the above image is true, then i'm a little let down. I expected it to be a killer shark or even a Kraken.
It won't be a shark because well you know why.
It won't be a kracken because that's like adding a hostile mob of hostile sheep to the stone mountains.
You already have sheep. You want something new.
I big squid is not very creative, and as Krackens are known for their destruction, what would this one destroy? Any and all water-adjacent man-made things unless it's made of that new ocean block or the mob is warded away via Sea Lanturns?
Actually a destro-mob that shys away from sea-lanturns sounds pretty cool.
If it has to do with the dungeon then I'd assume it is no bigger than 2x2, so it won't be a giant squid or anything too crazy. Jellyfish also won't work with this dungeon since they just float around and that would be way too easy. Whatever it is needs to be able to harm you and probably be fairly small to fit in that small dungeon.
It could be a sea urchin, although slightly modified to move around faster. Those are pretty "nasty" and are fairly common as underwater enemies. They would probably be unable to swim and only able to climb on blocks (like spiders but upside down too). You wouldn't really be able to hide from it and in such a small area it would be tough to kill if they move fast enough and can't be knocked back. This also makes them not really hazardous for just swimming in general since they won't be all over the place like squid.
I guess Jeb gave into the 1000s of requests then. And while he's at it, maybe he could make the squids serve more of a purpose and have a decent - water, I guess - finding AI.
Maybe, it's an underwater enderman. Or, an ENDERSQUID! *DUH DUH DUUUUUUUUUUUUH* No, I actually kind of doubt that. It'll likely be something unique though, or just something like a jellyfish, piranha or a jonah's whale or something.

The Darkness will win one day, and light's time being the winner is nearing it's end. Because light is overrated.
IntelliJ > Eclipse because better autocomplete and inbuilt command line. Oh, and use the latest version for mods.
