I believe this is the wrong forum, and you are posting about a game that doesn't have endless possiblities.
So get out.
No more endless than Minecraft, which is limited only to available in game tools and mechanics. I guess MC has 3D and pistons. Can't really think of much else. Terraria has more going for it as an exploration platformer, but on the creative side of things, Minecraft takes the cake. Really, entering Minecraft, unless you want to live in another biome, there's really no reason to leave the spot you spawned at. Hell, there's barely any reason to see the surface ever again once you upgrade to stone tools except to build a monument in your name.
1.8 looks like an introduction of Terraria's better elements meshed into Minecraft. I can only feel giddy thinking about that.
Rule 1 : No cheating, EX : Using an inventory editor or using a map viewer.
Rule 2 : You must have a Skype or a Team-speak server that we can talk in private JUST for Terraria.
