OK so far as i can see the world looks good.
Maybe u can try to delete the "9b7fbb74-8d27-42da-ab52-885980a1d231.dat" file inside u "playerdata" folder.
Without the mod´s or the Modpack i cant test more.
If u use "Feed the Beast" tell my witch modpack u use and i can test it.

That didn't work unfortunately. I'm just playing with some mods I threw together. I think I will just have to count this world as a lose now. Thanks for your help and time though!

Strange thing is that they worked fine until my computer shut down unexpectedly. But all is well, probably time to start over fresh anyway:) Again thanks for all your help!

I only can think some Mod config files are mess up on the shutdown.
U can try to create a new world and after save them delete the DIM-* and region folder inside the new one and copy the same folder from the defect world there.
Btw.: its irritating that u have the old and the new Player saving information inside the world. U are playing on a 1.6.x world or on a newer Version???

It gives immediate crashes when I start the server, and simply never loads in single player. This is the oldest level.dat I can find, but it still throws the errors. I can give any other information you require. Thanks so much for this thread.

The level.dat u send works normal and generate an nice little world on start up.
We need little bit more then only u level.dat.:
- The Minecraft Version u playing?
- The hole World folder of u corrupted world as an compressed file (something like ZIP, RAR, ACE, 7ZIP, . . . )
If i have the hole world and know u Minecraft Version i can look for the error. (And hop fully fix it for u)
Holy **** you're going to be the next leader of the free world. Thank you sooo much. Also ignore the PM from earlier, IDK why the forums were not showing. You are literally my new deity. Cannot thank you enough.
Sorry to interrupt but my world is corrupt and I have tried everything to fix it. I created a new world and took the level.dat files out and put them in the corrupted file and that will work but when I load the world it has several big black squares. Then when I save it and go back in, it is very laggy and things don't show up properly. Would anyone mind taking a look and see what I need to do to fix this? I can send you the file as I am unsure how to link it on here. Sorry. I really want to keep this world. I would really really appreciate it. Thanks.

- What Version u play at the moment with the world.
- And we need u world as a compressed File to look on it. (If u have pleas the world before any try to fix it)
EDIT:
- For the Compressed file u can Formats like (ZIP, RAR; ACE, 7Zip, ...)
- For the Upload her u can use an Filehoster like "https://www.mediafire.com/"

I play MC 1.7.10, but I opened a copy of the world in 1.8 as well, with the same results.
U world: https://www.mediafire.com/?qka09htcijnpea4
Hop this is u world u remember it. (I have to change some settings in the level, dat to generate it right and have to delete the player.dat)
Hey can you give me the seed that you used to generate the new chunks for me?
The Seed is: 2658721595373570242
Its the Seed i read out on the level.dat from the fix world.
I say that because something on the new generated world look different.
Maybe its u original seed, maybe the seed change longer time ago.
