Hi i just have a quick question what mod will show armor ratting like this armor has X defense and this armor has Y defense I thought was NEI wasn't the case. I am using 1.7.10.
No I mean when you look at armor in NEI GUI it will show you like this armor has 8 protection. or this armor has 5 protection. Not the GUI when you wear it.
I think that became more a thing with mods past 1.9 due to the extra stats added to armour as well as the cooldown on swords/tools. But I could be wrong, I just know many that do it after 1.7.10 not for it unfortunately. That and some that show overlays on top of the vanilla armour bar for armours in mods over the diamond level also for later versions (unless they had 1.7.10 versions before being ported to later versions). I don't know exactly though, but in my 1.7.10 experience I've not looked for/found any. I'd assume there is but I've not had much luck seeing anyway, I'd have to look through a lot of 1.7.10 mods listed to actually find one if I did.
Otherwise my guess for mods doing so would be some that add tooltip information for them (which I'm assuming your after). I'm not sure if WAILA might have since I don't remember NEI having that option but a few mods did (not counting mods that added extra sword options or ones with different combat options and so on) or similar mods/tooltip focused ones might. I don't any names of mods that do so unfortunately off the top of my head. I'm just theorising what I assume your after by what it sounds like as well as what I know of do exist that meet that requirement.

tyvm for help.
i mean your "armor rating" is shown on your gui with just vanilla. It doesnt get much more complex than the amount of armor symbols there are
