Does minecraft(pc version) sinks/saves my game progress to their clouds?(like Steam) Or do i have to manually save the game files somewhere online or on my pc/hdd?
I just created a new world and looks like my character is a female. I don't remember choosing gender. How do u change gender or customize character?
Minecraft Java saves worlds locally... usually in your .minecraft folder on C drive (Typically c:\users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves) & you have to copy them to a safe place if you want to have a backup (There is a mod that can autosave wolrds.. IIRC it's called Aromabackup)
I also assume you are using plain vanilla minecraft & don't have any gender mods installed, I don't think there is an actual gender option anywhere, but if you go to your profile on minecraft.net there is an option to select 'Steve' skin or 'Alex' skin. It may be you accidentally selected alex
Steve is the 'male' skin & 'Alex' is a female skin model
It's classic (steve) and i still get female character. And just be sure, i created another world and it's still a female character. Even after having classic (steve)
And what do you mean "auto save world" Like create a auto save on my pc or somewhere online?(cloud)
EDIT: Even if i select Alex, there's no save changes option so when i refresh page, it goes back to classic(steve)
I'm pretty sure that you need to actually upload a skin to be able to use a non-default skin, otherwise your UUID, which cannot be changed, is used to determine which skin/model you use (it is based on whether your UUID is an even or odd number or some such). Even if you do not want a custom skin you can upload a copy of the Steve skin and it should use it unless you are playing offline, then I think you are out of luck unless you use a mod to change how the game chooses the default skin/model (you can use a resource pack to change the default skin offline, as I do so I always have it even when the servers are down, but it will not work if you default to the other model).

I just upload classic steve skin and used that. Created world and it worked.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
I just upload classic steve skin and used that. Created world and it worked.
