Idk. Its a very weird glitch that happens when a post sometimes. It deletes my entire paragraph and I have to rewrite it in the edit tab. I have fixed the paragraph now though. Does anyone else have this issue?
I think it would be easier to just have frores be tamable, either with a rare item from the dungeon or by finding their eggs. Dinosaurs can easily take over this dimension, and I don't know if having three very similar (fast meat eaters) dinos is a good idea. We can still have rideable dinosaurs, but I feel this would be much easier to understand and implement.
3? i'm only counting 2, the Frore and the Glacipod. Also, i think my idea made them different enough to co-exist. Frores would function as a "boss mod" being a tough challenge to those who oppose it, and being avoidable by those who don't (also, side note, Frore is similar to Furore which i believe is Latin for "fury", so making it a boss would make more sense). While Glacipods are pack hunters that roam the icy wastes and serve to make your journey difficult, along with them being a sweet mount.

So I'm going to keep things on the less specific side because things always change, but here are 2 mobs I thought of:
-Algid Slime
These slime-like buggers resemble greyish-yellow medium-sized slimes. However, their color depends on what type of block they're standing upon. At long distance, they can be distinguished by having a brighter tint to their color/texture, and up close will occasionally emit white particles.
-Glincher
These hovering and flight-capable creatures resemble a light, pale-blue scorpion without legs, with a large claw-like mandibles.
Both of these mobs are neutral for a few reasons.
- a. Not every mob has to be a passive/hostile.
- b. Because the dimension is non-inclusive as far as material progression is concerned, I don't really feel the player should have to have diamond armor in order to not get obliterated by the mobs here.
- c. Being neutral allows the player a bit more freedom, whilst also presenting us an opportunity of more unique ways of aggravating them.
As far as their drops are concerned, they'd be able to drop Mandibles, and Sludge/Slush respectively. The purpose of these items is to be crafted alongside other items, which in turn are utility items. The first being a sort of hybrid between a summon/pet, and a tool.
Essentially, what it does is created a slimy platform for the player to stand on. Requiring slimeballs as a sort of "fuel" or "ammo," a slimeball is consumed for every block it supports you above the ground. To prevent camping or a cheesy escape, the platform can be attacked by some hostile mobs, and being attacked will consume slimeballs as well. This is essentially like a sort of stationary build scaffolding that can be taken down and put back up again quickly for convenience.
The second is like a pair of grasping claws on a stick. It allows extended reach for breaking and placing blocks, the ability to pick up tiny mobs such as size 1 slimes/cubes, chickens, baby mobs, and parrots. Perhaps, this could also be used to link Minecarts?
I'll come back to this later on. Been trying to get this outta my head for a while and I'm burning out.
EDIT: Thanks for putting up the doc, Fish!
I don't really understand the slimy platform thing. One of my unpopular opinions is that another slime-based mob could be cool. I think having a mob like that connects the dimension with the rest of Minecraft. The slime material could be really useful in crafting.
I'm not really sure about the mandible claw thing; the extra reach is a definite no, because it would mean that anyone with one of those could just knock a person back and an attacker could never reach them. I don't think the picking up small mobs would be useful, though it could be if it is involved with something new to do with the endermite. Linking minecarts would be amazing, but there should also be an easier way to connect minecarts together, which would be a whole other suggestion.

Hm... Endermites... It'd be great if we could somehow combo the two to make a good use of Endermites. If you have any ideas regarding that, do not hesitate to list them. I forgot about the PvP/PvE aspect. It wouldn't be able to inflict damage or KB with its reach.
For the slime platform, I'm not great at explaining things, maybe I can draw up a short demo image later on, but it's basically a scaffolding of sorts. If I had it my way, I'd introduce a new creeper variant (I mean, c'mon, there's only 1 variant of Minecraft's iconic mob, but 3 skeleton variants and gosh knows how many zombie clones!?).

"And just when you thought you where the sexiest one here, i show up" -Fernando
I have some mob ideas that could be implemented in the frost dimension:
Faeryce (Mob)
This pesky white humanoid inhales the cold air of the frost with it's big mouth similar to enderman's mouth when it's angry. After that, it exhales the compressed air, resulting a barrage very deadly projectile which is ice shards.
The ice shards was so sharp that it partially ignores armor. The Faeryce can also "teleport" by dissolving into white smoke and reformed again near the player who may ran away far from it. Not only that but individual ice shard disable shield for 2 seconds
The Faeryce cannot move while inhaling the frost air, so it is a perfect opportunity for players to attack.
Wight (Mob)
Zombie with a blueish orc-ish appearance (having a teeth coming out from it's mouth). This beast not only run as fast as a zombie pigman. It also inflicts the player with curse that slows the player's regeneration by any method for 10 seconds. Also, Wight regenerate their HP slowly.
Cloud Terror (Mob)
This flying manta ray like creature sometimes preys to players and other mobs to hatch it's eggs. First, they swoop down to a mob, then covers the mob with it's wing. After the process of latching the egg into it's victim, it will die. When a mob who latches a Cloud Terror egg dies. It will release 2 new Cloud Terrors. Creating a form of surprise for players who killed a regular mob.
But Cloud Terrors are very weak. They only have 2 hearts which makes them pretty easy to kill. However, if they could swoop to the player and lay it's egg. It deals a great amount of damage (how much will be determined by you guys). If any mob or even a player latches a cloud terror egg. Their lives aren't affected. Mobs would still behave the same. The only thing that would change is the Player's discomfort of knowing that a parasitic egg is inside their body and ready to be freed when they died.
Due to the nature of it's mechanism of breeding and how weak their HP is. Cloud terrors are very rare, so mobs that latches the egg wouldn't be that common. So it's a nice surprise for the player exploring the dimension and killing mobs.
The Cloud Terror's eggs could reduce the max life of their host by 20% for each laid egg, and there should be a way to remove them, such as drinking a Potion of Instant Harm (The parasitical egg is also affeted, killing it), applying either Magma Cream or a new item, and by simply dying. On top of that, Cloud Terrors could spawn around "nests" made out of an unique block that can be harvested in order to control their spawning area, giving it usage as a way to kill mobs.
This would make cloud terrors a nuissance. Cloud Terrors were suposssed to be rare to add one of those elements of surprise. If a mob shows some sort of characteristic if thry latches a terror's egg. It ruins the surprise. And having your max health reduced is very annoying. And 2 Cloud terrors could pottentially reduce your health to 40% since that's the ammount of terrors being freed by 1 mob.
Also i don't want cloud terrors to be another "damaging" mob or "debuff applying" mob.
I want cloud terrors to contribute to the dimension's ecosystem and player's view of the dimension to be unique.

Mobs still wouldn't visibly have eggs. All being able to remove them would do is allow the Player to get rid of the eggs from mobs they already know are infested. As for reducing max health, think of each egg as spawning 2 Cloud Terrors. This mechanic would additionally cause them to act as a unusual hostile mob in that they have lasting effects, as opposed to just causing damage.
Mobs having lower health than usual is already a sign of the egg infestation.
And surely cloud terrors may have lasting effect by reducing health permanently, but it's still doesn't change the fact how annoying it is. And the fact that the most effective way to cure it is to either die or waste harming potion which takes lot of resources.
Thought your suggestion gave me an idea to make Cloud Terrors reduce max hunger instead. So it's less annoying and aren't visible to other mobs. And also makes more sense because the parasite want more food in long lasting effect rather than taking other's life once. Thought i won't add it to see if it's annoying for other player.

Reduced hunger is better, althrough it should be in the form of increased hunger depletion rate, so it is somewhat harder to notice at first.
I don't think making it hard to notice is essential since the player would already be traumatized by the egg latching experience anyway.
Thought it may create additional interesting mechanic to the game.

There is a lot of mobs that have been suggested recently. I wonder if some could be combined:
The Faeryece sounds a bit like Badprenup's cloud mob, so maybe it should be cut
The appearance and name Glinchers could be added to Cloud Terrors, as we already have a hostile manta ray sky mob coming
Maybe Wights and Ice Trolls could be combined. Or Wights could only spawn in the steampunk dungeon biome
I think the max hunger decrease could work, and I like Magma Cream getting rid of the egg. Right now all Magma Cream does is brew potions, which makes players who don't use potions never have a reason to get it. However Magma Cubes is in the Neher, not frost dimension, so I doubt most players would have it on them (especially since cloud terrors are rare).
Last chance for the poll! It will be going down tomorrow. Currently Frist is in the lead 8-3.
I agree that some of the mobs should be combined, and that some should be used in the dungeon. We don't want to have too many mobs in the dimension.
EDIT: What if the crystals were used to direct beacon beams to increase their range? Maybe it would go on for 256 blocks if pointed in a direction or something? Or maybe the crystal could do something like this with the beacon beams:

That would be interesting, I'd vote to increase the range. Maybe if a block of crystal is placed on the beacon beam, like how stained glass currently affects beam color.
What should the main block of this dimension be (ie the netherrack or endstone of the frist)? I think it should look a combination of ice, snow, and stone, while still standing out on it's own. Here's my go at it:
I really like that block. I know this name might be too similar to how netherrack is named after the Nether, but what about "Fristum" or "Fristom" as a name for the block?
I've begun to work on some little banners we could put in our signatures (if we wanted to) after we finish the suggestion:
I think they might be a cool way to show that you contributed to the suggestion. Of course, there will be more icon options once we get more images/textures done.
Both netherrack and endstone are named after the dimensions, it seems only right the same would apply for the frist. I prefer the fristum spelling by the other is good too.
Unless anyone objects I'll put the block onto the doc as a WIP.
The advacement banners are great! They look really nice, I'll put one up when we finish. Naturally this happens hours after I finish my signature redesign...

Nicely done! But... Just isn't the same as the old "Achievement Get!" ;-;
That aside, I personally disagree with having more bipedal mobs in, looking at the Wight and Faeryce. We already have tons of humanoids.
