Finding out the Minecraft world and it's beuty, I explore it every day. Have made a bed, and slept few times in it, each time in diffrent place as every morning I pack my stuff and go travel elsewhere.
Last time, I digged real small place, having place only for a bed. Went to sleep, but when woke up, I sufficated into a wall and slowly died. Then I respawned not in the last place I slept, but in the very starting point, with messege that the bed was obstructed and the rest I didn't suffice to read. Why???
Even if you don't take the time I sufficated in a wall when woke up, I still had about 3 diffrent places I slept and woke up normally, so why not respawn to the last place I used the bed properly?
You really shouldn't have spawned near the bed at all and suffocated if there was no space there, it should have sent you back to original spawn. Not sure if that's a bug or not.
But as mentioned, when placing a bed, be sure to have at least one space directly adjoining the bed, on the same level to be safe, that is at least two blocks high for you to wake up in. Even better is to have more than one space that's tall enough, that way the game has options on where to place you when you wake up.

So my bed is gone and that is why I spawned to the world spawn, thank you!
