Back then since minecraft 1.8, I was playing around with the game mechanics and I used it to the extreme for fun!
An example is a lot of redstone contraptions! I like seeing a bunch of redstone clocks and contraptions like some kind of huge factory!
One example is making the whole floor out of lapis lazuli ore and mine it using a diamond pickaxe with the highest efficiency and fortune enchantments possible!
Use this --> /give @p minecraft:diamond_pickaxe 1 0 {ench:[{id:32,lvl:127},{id:35,lvl:127}]}
I'd like to see your reaction to that!
We all know that we don't like lag while playing, especially when in a server!
But this is for FUN! We shouldn't care about lag, because we're the ones making it and having fun!
Tell me, what are your fun ways to lag and what's your favorite laggy experience?
I'll start: Mine's making a shower of Bottle o' Enchanting! Make it rain with xp orbs!!!!
Has anyone tried mining lots of lapis lazuli ore with the pickaxe from the command I gave? Mining 3 ores can fill up your whole inventory.
The highest level of Fortune is actually 32,767 because the game uses a 16 bit short; I did this before and mined a single diamond ore with it - and got 11,154 diamonds (1,239 diamond blocks + 3 diamonds) from it - and that was not even half the maximum possible (32,768); and yes, it caused the game to completely lock up (not responding) for a few minutes:
Note that lapis (normally 4-8 drops) can only drop as many as 1,024 pieces (8 * 128) with Fortune 127 - and 262,144 (8 * 32768) with Fortune 32767.
Also, I've done the Superflat TNT preset challenge before (a Superflat world with TNT as at least one of the layers); with a single layer of TNT over the void I was able to get a continuous explosion without crashing the game (I only have 32 bit so I can't allocate more RAM, the biggest limitation when doing this. The first TNT ignited has to be placed on top so it doesn't fall down, other TNT is propelled upwards often enough and/or detonates fast enough to cause a chain reaction).
You can also make a Superflat world with mineshaft(chance=1.0) added to the preset, which will generate a mineshaft in every single chunk (when at least 1280 blocks from 0,0, since they are less common within that area):
(the last time I tried this it only took 15 seconds to generate a world, not the 5 minutes claimed, but I did it on a modded version that included some optimizations and they were underground (a major cause of lag is lighting calculations that have to cover a large vertical distance); I also got a better computer since I did the Fortune 32767 one)
Other lag-causers that I've done are mainly by accident, such as when I was modding cave generation and made a mistake (for example, I once caused near-infinite recursion when changing the way caves branch, resulting in cave systems that left nothing at all underground, and took 10 times longer than usual to generate terrain). You also have to be careful when making terrain generation mods or you can cause features placed in chunks to load more chunks, which in turn load even more, etc (this is a major cause of lag with such mods, if you are making such a mod you should always check out a world with a mapping utility to make sure there isn't unwanted chunk generation).

I think we need to clarify things a bit more.
We're doing things to the extreme for fun despite all the lag. So even though we know that the things we want to do can cause heavy lag, we don't mind it, but rather enjoy it.
But thank you for that comment! It is quite informative
By the way I tried the actual highest possible enchantment on the pickaxe and used it on diamond ore; my game crashed
I think I'll stick with lvl 127, just to be safer but I'll still have tons of lag

You obviously misunderstood my post - most of what I mentioned I did for the fun of it; I only mentioned the Fortune thing because I'd done it before and knew that it actually went higher (if you look at the post I linked to the OP was using a stick with Sharpness/Knockback/Looting 25000 and I mentioned that I'd done something similar but with Fortune 32767), and because I'm picky when it comes to inaccuracies like that (half of my posts are about one game mechanic or another).

I don't really have fun lagging - when I can make something that would normally make a computer lag, but not mine, then I'm really excited.
That being said, I like cranking up the render distance in the W10 edition to 64 chunks just for looks (it looks great).
And I guess I like shaders too, if that counts (though I don't drop below 60 with them with my current pc)
Setting all video settings (including clouds, particles, etc.) to MAX then setting up shaders, 3D, physics, animation, etc. mods --> All to MAX

Usually a 6x6 or bigger grid of dispensers hurling xp bottles into the air makes some nice lag.
Stay fluffy~

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?

It's always fun to put this into a repeating command block:
/summon EnderCrystal ~ ~1 ~
Then waiting a few seconds and hitting the collection of stacked ender crystals.
This one's funny
