As Shallawy said, that's the challenge and the whole point of the game for me- it's little ole me against the big bad world that's out to get me! If I can survive and get things "set up" so I'm safe, fed, and "in charge", I get bored and usually abandon the world and start over- but this time try to do it better. I don't need or want someone else messing with it. It's my world, my way.
i know my email is bad but I lost a bet like 3 years ago
Did the bet require you to always use the email? If not, replace it, If it did, I'd just violate the terms of the bet saying three years is plenty and my three-years-ago self shouldn't have made such a ridiculous bet.
The feeling of loneliness comes from the fact that you're placed in the middle of nowhere and you're given nothing. You have to start from scratch. It's kinda relaxing in a way.
Me too. I just want a creative or survival server that's EXACTLY like singleplayer. No command block commands. No plugins. No creative plots. Just a normal server with normal, nice people that don't hack or cheat or kill you for no reason, just to be nice and muck around.
Shame that's essentially impossible nowadays.
If it weren't for my poor internet connection I'd say let's get it started. I feel like I read about people's desire for such a server often.
As far as being lonely playing singleplayer, I'll agree. I like the isolation and the environment that it provides me to unwind from my real life. However after playing Minecraft for a few hours on a Friday or Saturday night, then looking at a clock and realizing how much time has passed I feel pretty lonely, not to mention lame.

When I play Single Player, I get lonely a lot. Especially when I play on PlayStation. I listen to music for most of the time though which keeps me entertained. On PlayStation, now that the new update brought bouncy beds and llamas, I play with the llamas and jump on the beds.
Play in SMP servers you will for Sure won't get bored and feel lonely i can promise you that
It's much easier for me to get bored in SMP. When I play Minecraft, my world keeps getting more fun as time goes on. Once I have a general base layout, I start building automatic farms. Once I do that, I can start producing aesthetic blocks like bone blocks, wood and prismarine in large amounts. Then I can start building massive structures without needing to worry about resources.
If I put some time into making a villager breeder and trading hall, suddenly I can make maxed mending gear with ease. An iron farm takes a while to set up, but now I can make as many hoppers as I want. Etcetera, etcetera.
This process takes months, and most servers don't last that long before it either gets shut down or most of the people I enjoyed my time with leave the server. I don't like constantly running through the early and mid game.
I don't really ever feel lonely when playing single player, I never really do. I prefer to play alone sometimes since its much easier rather then having to communicate ect. It's just much better since you can do whatever you want.
Of course. But that's no surprise. Since 1 block is 1 cubic meter, and since a minecraft world is 60 million blocks wide then you are the only human in a world that's 7 times bigger than our own Earth. Can you just imagine that? Having an entire world as huge as that only for yourself and nobody else. It really makes you wonder where everyone else is. Matpat made some really good theories on just that and I think they might be very likely.
I just get lonely when I play Minecraft alone, does anyone else? I can't be the only that gets like this.
life isn't short it's the longest thing you have ever experienced
No. I did to. But then I started listening to music/YouTube in the background and I stopped being lonely. Ish.
Heh, all the time...
Oh yeah, also when I play singleplayer.
Yeah, like Titan said above, I usually have music/videos playing.
It's a big empty world out there in MC afterall

No, but I don't really get lonely in real life either. I spent a week completely alone recently and I didn't mind at all.
Jesus christ, not only did you make the text bold but you also wrote in caps.
Just play "We are number one" in the background and your good.
I play single-player only.

Feeling alone while playing Minecraft is comparable to the feeling of peace you get while listening to the sounds of nature.
Stuck between bedrock and a hard place.

Yep, that's why I only play multiplayer!
