There isn't a best, it's more of what you prefer. Some pvpers like quake pro because they can see more on their screen and so it helps them, but regular survival players like me would prefer the standard FOV since there isn't much to see around you, but at the same time it's nice to see at least a bit. The lowest FOV could be used in certain situations though. For example some horror style adventure map where the player's view is required to be minimal and so setting a low field of view would be nice.
EDIT: For those wondering, FOV = Field Of View, or how wide your view is.

I used to use quake pro, for after a while it started to give me motion sickness (Whoo, a video game related injury!) so I had to stop doing that... Now I just go with the default, since I've gotten used to it again
What is the meaning of FOV?... I am sorry for asking I am just new to minecraft....T_T
Frame of View, it's how much you're able to see to your left and right. at default you see I want to say 90 degrees in front of you, 45 degrees to each side.

Quake Pro alone doesn't give me motion sickness, but it does when I add speed to it unfortunately. Check out this picture of me using Quake Pro while affected with speed IV:

FOV isn't frame of view, it's field of view. Basically how wide you can see.

Or also Field of Vision. I prefer to use the standard for most things, but 90 while in combat.

90 seems to be perfect for most pvpers who also play survival. 90 is also the default in most games and allows you to still have a playable fov with speed on.
I've always used the default because things get too distorted at higher settings (seriously, how can you stand it?) Not that it makes me sick, just the distortion - the only distortion that should occur is that due to distance, just like IRL. IMO, Minecraft was not made for high FOVs; games which are should render things so as to avoid FOV-related distortion (as discussed here).
I really just used a FOV a little over the regular. I never payed much attention to it though, the effect it has on your performance or enjoyment is most likely negligible though.

All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king

Well, it's really up to you, but my personal preference is Quake Pro, because it makes you feel way faster, and you can see more stuff.
Got an unpopular opinion? Want to share it? You can post it right here! Just don't start flame wars and be nice!

Ever see a bad forum post online? That's probably me.
Quake Pro is my preference.
It's really up to you though.

I prefer 90, although it's not because of PvP, I just like a larger FOV.

90 FOV seems to be the most common in first person shooters. That is what I would recommend.

Quake Pro
All the Pro's use it.
Also it would be cool if the OP had a poll asking what folks like to use.
You may want to read my post while you still can, some of them have been randomly disappearing lately *cough*

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
Normal(Default) is the best.At least MOJANG does.
MY MODPACK! ~300 MODS! 1.10.2-1.12.2, 1.15.2!
I use the Normal FOV, it just feels more natural to me.
Use the lowest FOV you can, you'll be unique!

I used to use Quake Pro, but it looks very weird so I recently switched to 90.
