After 5 years of this game I realized I've never actually made a 100% legit
survival world, so I'm setting up one with a friend. I want to focus on
building a world I can really be proud of in this playthrough as opposed
to just completing the game. The kind of world I mean is like in The Minecraft Project
and Ethoslab's survival, sort of "reclaiming" the land from wilderness
into my own personalized world. So, basically I want to make literally
everything I can, builds and machines. There's just too much stuff for
me to think of, so if you feel like it please give me some ideas for
builds and grinder/resource gathering machines. Nothing is too simple,
from just "castle" to detailed stuff like "gunpowder grinder". I just
need ideas for things to fill up space
Also if you have any resource pack suggestions that would also be
appreciated. I was planning on using dokucraft, but anything else with
that same kind of classy, fancy feel would do.
You're setting it up with a friend? In my opinion that's going to ruin it. There's no way that a world with your friend will become a permanent home world for you like Ethos world. But I guess it's too late, since if you tell him to go away then you'll hurt his feelings.
I think you should build a nice log cabin by the pond. Make a kitchen with white and black checker wool floor. Make a cow farm on the side of it. Make a secret basement. Retexture the paintings to something naughty, and put paintings up in the secret basement.

Why do you say that? If he ever wants out he can put his stuff away and I can remove the world file
Well wouldn't you want a survival world that lasts forever? One that sticks with you update through update, Minecraft 1.10 to Minecraft 1.50? The multiplayer aspect removes this long-lastingness since you can't expect everybody to keep wanting to play. But to be honest, I think you're better off playing with a friend since it's always better with friends.

Why am I here
