C418 has composed plenty of fantastic music for Minecraft, and sometimes it's hard to pick out just one for a favorite. "Cat," "Sweden", "Mice on Venus," "Alpha," "Beginnings"...they're all so good. What's the song that makes you smile when it plays in-game?
My favorite "old" track (pre- full release 1.7) is "Haggstrom." It's so bright, calm, and happy, and it reminds me of a handbell choir.
My favorite "new" track (post-1.7) is probably "Haunt Muskie." I like the complex emotions and atmospheric tone of the piece.
For music discs, it's probably "Far."
Oh, and I enjoy creepy old Disc 11, too. I'm weird that way.
What about you? Which song is your favorite, and why?

Insulting people for their beliefs is not a good way of convincing them to adopt yours.
Fiction is just a game of make-believe recorded on paper or film. But that's what makes it so great.
I love all the old music. I don't really care for the new stuff introduced in 1.7. This peice was (and still is) my all-time favorite (I got major nostalgia chills listening to this just now):
I really love Volume Alpha, but I love even more the songs from Creative mode (Taswell, Hawnt Muskie, Aria Math). I don't know why, and call me a freak, but I like The End, cause it's a weird tune, and I like weird tunes.

QUEEN OF THE ILAMAS!
Don't like me? Cool, I don't wake up every day to impress you.
I don’t suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!
I don't know the name, but it's the one that plays only in creative mode. It goes like "Duh-duhduhduh-duhduhduhduh, duhduhduh-duhduhduhduh". It reminds me of the Jungle biome for some reason. I love it.

I don't really like the music in Minecraft so I have it turned off and usually listen to podcasts or debates while I play.
Since the second thing I do when I create a new profile, after switching the Forward key to the middle mouse button, is to turn off the music I've probably missed something good, though I stopped trying to collect all the CDs since I hadn't found any I liked.

Are you talking about "Aria Math", by any chance?

Music disc 11 is by far the favorite. I like it because it makes you be creative about the meaning of the sounds it's also pretty cool that when you put it on a spectrograph it shows Steve's face and 12418 the 12 equivalent to C and it makes C418.
Alpha, aka Credits. I love this music not only because it sounds terrific, but because I have only head it once in-game, and it caught me by great surprise.
Aria math is an absolute favorite. I even have it saved on youtube.
In music disks, I love Mall the best.
I remember once coming across a zombie villager while doing stuff in creative mode. I decided to cure it, and just as the cure started, Aria Math came up in the rotation. It seemed kind of sad as this poor zombie villager was shaking and looking at me.

Aria Math is one of my favorites, too. For me, it evokes the feeling of starting an adventure in a brand new and mysterious land, or traveling with a group of gypsies on the savannah plains as the sun is setting. I keep a playlist of "Adventure Music" soundtracks on Youtube, and I made sure to put Aria Math on the list.

Same. Aria Math just has this, adventurey feel to it, and for some reason it reminds me of the Nether every time I listen to it, and it was one of the first songs I added to my Spotify playlist. I like the second part the best, as it kinda has a Bollywood-type rhythm, and it's real catchy xD

Hipster Jesus liked you before you were cool.
I'd probably say that Mice On Venus is my favorite, but Sweden, Living Mice, Danny, Credits, and several others I really like.

ANDRE GAMES
Calm4.ogg is my favorite but would be better without the "MoJaNg SpECiFiCaTiOnS" in it.
Alpha, aka Credits. I love this music not only because it sounds terrific, but because I have only head it once in-game, and it caught me by great surprise.
I like the ward and chirp disc
I like take back the night
I bought a knife but couldn't open the packaging. I bought scissors but couldn't open that packaging. That's why I bought the knife.

For Music Discs, Ward by far.
As for other musics...
Title Screen: Moog City 2
General Ambient: Mice on Venus, in particular the second part.
Creative: Tie between Taswell and Biome Fest
Nether: Concrete Halls
