So this is rather unsettling at the moment, especially with a fact that I'm powerless against this...
Yesterday about a different game, I saw on reddit that there was a possibility of pwned (leaked from database hacks) e-mail adresses. So I immediately ran through my mail adress and saw something that really doesn't please me;
Somebody I don't know, took my IGN that I abandonned over a year ago. But what's more, is that he is breaking rules on many servers (for example, advertising.) One server I managed to get in touch with, even confirmed that they tried to haul MY social media page to come over trustworthy!
Right now I have started to remove this display name of mine on almost every place I am able to because I do not want to be associated with this childish behavior. But I really want to know; what else can I do? Mass-rulebreaking is one thing, but stealing somebody else's identity and impersonating them is a whole other.
Edit: I would also like to know if I can change my Display Name on this forum too.
yes, as it would seem (which I am doing right now.) The only problem that I really do not like, is that he is referring to social media that is not his. I'm being framed for things I didn't even do. While I can easily prove that that wasn't me, there has to be a way to proactively stop him from continuing, not? This goes beyond Mojang's name changing ToS; Impersonisation.

You want to be a dragon? Well, then you need to have wings, a passion to hoard, and have a deadly breath.
Oh, and did I forgot to tell you dragons are extremely territorial? ROAWR >:)
You can ask an administrator to change your forum account, and I highly suggest as you said to change your online usernames as Mojang's support is highly unlikely.

The account isn't compromised. I changed my name.

Wow that's really terrible. Try to change your name back since he may leave that name. Why do you want the name back anyway? Adopt a new one.
The beautiful things in the world can not be seen by the eye, but have to be felt by the heart.
I don't want the name back, I want to let him stop getting me a horrible reputation.
Is there anyway you can contact him? That would be a good idea.

Nope. The only media people tie him to is mine.
