Would you rather? That's the question here! This thread will cover a bunch of true or false, yes or no situations specific to minecraft. If you would like to share your answer and possibly start a mini discussion, go right ahead and post a reply! If you have any suggestions, talk with me and I might add one!
NOTE - I may turn this thread into a poll, so stay tuned for that!
The Questions
1) Would you rather - Look at the same thing in Minecraft without moving your screen or going AFK for 3 hours?
-Or mining coal for 3 hours straight with no breaks?
2) Would you rather - Have plants grow much faster, but yield less?
-Or have plants grow slower but yield more?
3) Would you rather - Have every cobblestone you mine yield a stack of cobblestone drops?
-Or have every a 1/10 chance of yielding ANY drops?
4) Would you rather - Have water slow you down 4x as much as it usually does?
-Or it taking away 64x hunger away as it usually does?
5) Would you rather - Have a bunch of random, 5 second lag spikes every 5 minutes?
Or have a smaller amount of continous lag?
6) Would you rather - Have 2x less inventory space, but be able to carry 100 items in one slot, and tools are stackable?
-Or have 2x more inventory space, and have a 3 x 3 crafting grid + brewing and smelting?
7) Would you rather - Have lava flow at the speed of water in all dimensions?
-Or have Water flow at the speed of lava in all dimensions?
1.) Mining coal for 3 hours. I never have enough, and I like coal. More than diamonds sometimes. No, you did not mis-read that.
2.) Depends on how much faster or slower. But probably slower, since bonemeal speeds it up greatly, and I get more.
3.) Cobblestone yield a stack. Since caves are filled with stone, I can mine it only when I want to, and I never have enough smooth stone from smelting the cobblestone, nor am I usually bothered to mine more, so duplicating it would be fine with me.
4.) Slow you down. More reason to use boats. Also, Depth Strider.
5.) Smaller amount of lag. Less annoying than lagspikes.
6.) 2x more inventory space, as I could carry more items (128 items every two slots, instead of 100 every single slot, which if my inventory is doubled, means essentially 128 items every slot), plus I get all crafting grids and whatnot, there are no downfalls except tools not stacking, which isn't an issue as much with doubled inventory slots. I only ever carry 1-2 of a certain tool either way.
7.) Water flow at the speed of lava. It may get annoying sometimes, but I've been more annoyed by accidentally placing water and it flowing too fast for me to pick it back up before it starts spreading.
1) Mine coal for 3 hours straight with no breaks. If I'm going to be spending 3 hours either way, I may as well spend it gathering resources and XP.
2) Have plants grow much faster, but yield less. I rather prefer quicker returns to waiting for each crop to slowly grow.
3) Have every cobblestone I mine yield a stack of cobblestone drops. Better to have too much instead of too little.
4) Neither. They are both equally awful.
5) Neither. They are both equally awful.
6) Have 2x more inventory space, and have a 3 x 3 crafting grid + brewing and smelting. I could always use more space, and not requiring a furnace, brewer, or crafting table is excellent. Compare to reducing your inventory space by about a third with no special benefit.
7) Have lava flow at the speed of water in all dimensions. I have the reflexes to avoid it, and water being slow would be annoying.
