Why does the website say that I have to pay to change my skin?
This message is displayed if you are not currently logged into an account which contains a paid copy of the PC version of Minecraft.

I logged in with the same account I used in the Mojang Website, which told me I have Minecraft in my account. Probably something wrong with the system. Can you tell me how can I contact Mojang about it so that they can fix this?

Nah I am having the same problem, and threads are popping up about this a lot so it's obviously some server account issue on their end.

I noticed something was up when I tried to download Minecraft back onto my PC. The website kept crashing and I did not know why. It's getting worse or is this a whole different problem appearing? Who knows but Mojang needs to notice. I am not sure they will yet since the whole 'Microsoft buying Mojang' thing happened...

no i didnt purposely say this just to get people to look at my skin.... im not THAT low although i do want people to see it i dont want to have them see it this way i want people to see it by finding it randomly on the skindex

But i have this problem with my skin changing my current skin isnt the best lets just say i made when i was tired so i didnt do my best.
i tried that it just brought me to a page for buying mc pe and mc xbox and pc and when i hit get minecraft it brings me to validate email and i dont get the email....

I tried giving the information you provided to #MinecraftHelp, they kicked me because I was giving false information and misleading new people. But, what you said works for me perfectly fine.

I logged out of Minecraft.net and while i wasnt signed in i went to buy the game and then proceeded to sign in on that page. it said error, you already own this game. so i went to the Profile tab and it let me change my skin. im not sure if it is fixed now or i did something that fixed it. Either way hope this helps anyone that needs it

It worked for me! Someone seriously needs to post this on the front page of the forums for the people who are having the problem!

Wow that actually worked thanks man.

So I got looking a bit at this and indeed it did say I needed to buy the game again. However logging in and clicked Get Minecraft, but did nothing else on that screen. I went to Profile and now it shows this instead the generic Buy the game to change skin.

Simpler, Coozy98 is correct with their say.

The new profile page you get after you login and click Buy/Get Minecraft and go back to Profile (do nothing on the Store page, just click Buy/Get Minecraft and immediately go back to Profile by clicking it, not using the Back button).
