Hiya. I am trying to generate a normal world in Minecraft 1.8 using World Type: Customized. The only difference is that I want it to be very, very flat. (Obviously I will be removing caves and mineshafts and the like, too.) Ideally, I would like something that is as close to ten blocks from bedrock to the tops of the mountains as possible. I also want to try to avoid floating "continents". After messing around with the advanced settings for a few hours, I haven't yet found a good set of settings. What is the best I can do towards my goal, and how do I do it? Thanks.
Paste this in the box on the preset tab, it's not perfectly flat but pretty good, you can't make the world generate at a height of near 10 blocks because then all hat generates is gravel. If this is not sufficient just say so, it's what I had on hand. You can still change the preset after you paste it in, so if you only want 1 biome you can make it so (plains only looks great and is flattest.
Main noise x and z, higher better. Biome depth weight of 0 makes it so the different biomes are all the same height. Height stretch flattens when high. It isn't just one thing but a combinations of settings. Did you try the preset I gave? If you play around with that for a while you might get something that trips your trigger.

Where can I find a description of what each setting affects? I'd like to create my own custom world but I'd rather not have to fiddle with random values and hope for the best.
