Most cracked users problems are: Trying out the game, Don't have a credit card BUT they still have 20$, or they can't afford it, but the worst is they have money but they don't do it.

I wonder that now since Microsoft 'owns' Minecraft if they'll do anything against people cracking the game, as Mojang didn't do much or at least didn't enforce it.
By that logic, music makers lose nothing when people pirate their music.
But let's go ahead and break down that analogy.
If I duplicated my car for a friend, then I don't lose anything.
However, what about the car-maker? Mojang is losing something from piracy.
They are losing potential sales.
Sure, there are some people who pirate to try things out before they buy them, but what about the ones who pirate to keep?
You can argue that piracy isn't stealing all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that money is lost from it.
You don't remove anything from the car-maker's possession.
Losing money to piracy is NOT "theft". Murder is not theft, assault is not theft, trespass is not theft, and piracy is not theft.
Whether they lose money to piracy or not is an entirely different argument. It probably costs them a little, but it's a very, very long way from each illegal copy costing the price of a purchase. Anyway, regardless of the costs of piracy, "theft" is an incorrect label.
Cracked people are so stupid they pretty much steal a game, when they can DOWLOAD IT FOR FREE ON THE WEBSITE!!!!!!!!! THats all they need to do to try it out!
I don't care they probably won't buy the game anyways so I don't care if they play cracked.
Also the demo sucks cracked is just like the demo but unlimited and unlike a linear story driven single player game minecraft is a new experience every time you start fresh so if people are indeed interested in checking the game out to see if it's good for purchase they can always get cracked to try it out.
Well microsoft is a money pig and they won't just sit still while they could potentially make money of these cracked players they're most likely going to turn of "onlinemode" option = no cracked server
well i had a cracked version for a long time until the new launcher model started, then i bought my account... i think they should be allowed to crack if they only want to try the game and see if they like it. but not to play for a while.
ehem.
Actually it doesn't matter how long they play the cracked version if they won't buy the game it won't matter if they played the cracked version or not.

Wow you people are ignorant about cracked users... I used to be a cracked user, then I saw better servers that weren't cracked and bought the game. Calling someone a dirty pirate or thief for getting half a game is idiotic...
I'll be honest here... Yes I tried the crack version (before I understood how Minecraft is) I wanted to test it out ,and see how great the game is before I buy it.. Soon enough I got attached and just decided to say "Ya know I'll just buy the whole game". I got it for PC, Xbox, and Pocket Edition. Worth the money (even tho not all features are in PE and still in Alpha) ,but I do know that soon enough it'll get out of the stage and up with the Console Edition and PC. Worth the money as I know they'll update everything rather then never updating.
P.S : All cracked version(s) are removed and have legit bought it as the developers put so much time into it. They do deserve the money.
Yes, it's the same as piracy. However, is it morally acceptable? I think yes, for a number of reason which I'll post in a spoiler at the bottom. But my opinion isn't universal, same as with you so we can't really say which view is correct. So, is it morally acceptable for cracked players to have the game? Yes or no?
Some people cannot afford the game, so having cracked gives them access to Minecraft for free; which is beneficial for them. The Minecraft community will get a larger audience because of this. Minecraft doesn't lose revenue, because with the amount of money they it earns, and with the growing community of cracked players who tell their friends to get the game, it gets MORE money. Cracked players cannot get full access of what premium Minecraft offers, they cannot go to premium servers; but the poor-quality cracked servers always filled with people. Most cracked players do not have access to different skins.
Premium players will be glad to know that the people who didn't pay for the game do not get all the accesses of the game.
Cracked players will want all of these features, so they would buy the game eventually; and so will their cracked friends.
See, as a previous cracked user (I'm cheap, yes I have premium minecraft now) I thought I was doing something wrong. So I decided to look it up, and I found out, Notch said a tweet saying to stop being cruel to the cracked users, and he actually SUPPORTS them, because sooner or later they will get sick of just cracked servers and singleplayer and will want to go play on other servers. So I think it's ok. My friend lives in brazil and Minecraft is EXPENSIVE there so he uses cracked. My little brother is very cheap and uses cracked. (I'm planning on buying him premium soon.) So I support it, if used in an alright fashion.

Profit for everyone.
exactly. That's what I mean. It expands the community and eventually makes them want premium, so I think of it as "try before you buy unlimited version"

Exactly how it went for me I didn't want to get limited to certain items so instead I got Premium so I can enjoy the full features rather then getting the half items. So therefore it inspired me to buy the Premium instead of the ONLY Singleplayer and half items. Money well spent.

By that logic, should we ignore plagiarism?
You're not stealing someone's paper after all. You are simply taking their words, putting it on a piece of paper, and adding your name to it.
I have no problems with users downloading cracked versions of Minecraft in order to try it before they buy it. (I quoted it)
However, what about someone telling others out of spite to pirate it with the intention of halting sales?
Whether it is theft or not, money lost is money lost.
It may not matter to a rich company like Mojang, but what about developers that aren't as successful?
Losing 50 sales when you have 1000 customers may not mean much. Losing 5 sales when you only have 100 customers does, however.
Piracy may not hurt bigger companies, but smaller ones will definitely take a hit from it.
The hypothetical car maker may not be losing any of his cars, but his business is definitely being hurt.
