does anyone else think that Minecraft is the easiest game to get burned out on?
iv had the game for 2 years now(which i have not been on in 1 year). and i feel it is really easy to get burned out of it... does anyone else think so?
What do you mean by, "burned out on"? You mean get tired of it? Yes, it does get really repetitive at times, but other than that, I find it to be find most of the time. Sometimes I just need some breaks.

Honestly MC is a game I go to when I'm burned out from other games. I find that I can always do something on it to keep myself interested, given how plastic the gameplay can be, you can do anything. That creative element is why it is my favorite game but some people don't like this aspect as much, we are all different after all. Video games and the entertainment value extracted is going to be different for every video game/player combination. I do take large breaks between video game sessions but that is not a MC specific reason just a life choice.
i say play mods or maps with objectives. it will always spice up ur minecraft life. right now im currently trying to get better at UHCs. cant play a game without goals xD atleast i cant.
Sometimes, yeah, I get burned out. But MC is also frequently the game I go to when I'm feeling wiped. An hour or two of strip mining in an established area (aka well lit so very few spawns) is almost meditative. And builds up resources for the others on my server to use in building stuff.
Same thing happens with other games like Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim. Those games are fantastic but the vanilla version of the game gets boring after a while. Just download some mods that will add plenty of new stuff, download Adventure maps and complete them using Adventure mode. Eventually, you will get bored of Minecraft in it's entirety and the only thing I can tell you is to stop playing. If you feel like you're forcing yourself to play, then that's the time you need to quit Minecraft for a while.
For me, Mining and farming was what made me hate Minecraft for a solid 3 1/2 months. That's when I decided it was time to increase my building skills and explore more then usual.
Very true. Part of the beauty of minecraft is that, if something annoys you, you can figure out ways to change it. Personally, I was getting sick of having to spend so much time farming just to stay alive. That pushed me to figure out how to make a basic water farm. Still had to plant everything, but at least I could harvest the whole works with a single click. And have it all gathered up for me. I wish they'd make dispensers plant stuff, though.
Just like any other video game, it can be easy to get burnt out. If you do feel yourself getting burnt out on the game, don't try and fight it! Trying to force yourself to play Minecraft when you don't have much of an inclination to will just force a bad experience. There is no point in that. Just take a break and come back when you feel ready

I feel you. In order for you to have the feel for the game as the first time you started it is to get mods or downloads skins or do projects lol just keep your mind busy
I've been burnt out on MC, and stopped playing for a couple of years. Got burnt out on other games, came back, and now if I feel a little bored with something I can switch around to my modded game, or vanilla game, or MCPE. Heck, I suppose I could even go back to XBox--I never did finish my jungle neighborhood project. But also after years of holding out, I finally gave into Steam and have lots of new games from the summer sale to play around with if I feel MC is dragging me down.
But I'm someone who'll play a game into the ground, really get to know the game very well. I could probably teach a seminar on a few of my favorite games as I've spent so much quality time with them. Since MC is a vastly expanded game since I first played it, there's still plenty for me to learn about it, just the modding community alone is a whole universe unto itself.
I've been playing Minecraft almost exclusively for over a year. Even the various Civ releases haven't held my interest longer. Admittedly, I play with mods and am a modder myself, and I usually start a new world with a new mod set every 2 to 3 months. If I had stuck to vanilla I might have gotten tired of it after 6 months or so. But even that's pretty good for a video game.

Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
For me, playing minecraft with other people really helps keep me interested in it. While playing with my friends we always find new things to do. Even if I have done something before, others I play with might be experiencing a part of the game for the first time. That makes it pretty fun.
Another thing I sometimes do is look up different ideas or things to build via this forums or youtube. I get a lot of inspiration and ideas from these places.
Deffinitly. Having someone new join into your game, especially if they have little or no MC experience, is a great way to liven things up. They've got a different view of things, and frequently remind me of how neat some things are that I've forgotten about. And often discover new ways of doing things.
If you're sick of the game, try out mods or modpacks. There are so many different ones and they all update much faster than Mojang's official updates. ATLauncher has a lot of great modpacks to try out.
