The only people crying about new EULA are server owners. LOL
and mabye the people that play on those servers? its really starting to annoy me how dense some of you are. I get it you guys hate pay2win. I understand that some cant afford ranks and such. Perfectly fine. This is where you put your brain to use. If you dont like the server then leave! There are plenty others that will accommodate more to your liking.
I never play Mineplex, but went on just to check, you have to wait a minute to get into a server, then you'll find out the server is full and you'll need to pay to get in.
Yes, This is what is going to happen to all these 'law-abiding' servers
Hmm one of things that i saw in their rank is "/fly"... Lol that's against EULA. And there is rank for 150$ that has stupid commands... I wouldn't buy that for 50$ not for 150$ X_X
Hmm... They did state that it was for a separate VIP Server, and it is purchasing a "gameplay feature", I don't think mojang will sue over something petty as that, but we'll see. and there are "gadgets" that will be used, but yes, purely cosmetic. Worth the money? as greedy as almost everyone is, No.
Seemingly so. But they are relying on people continuing to donate for the cosmetic stuff and credits (also Hypixel Credits is a form of in-game currency, which is against the EULA if it is purchased for...)
I'm no lawyer, so if they did violate the hard to soft currency rule, they might be in trouble, might not, it's only day 1 of Eula, but they're doing better than any other server Iv'e seen. they're also planning on utilizing facebook, since money can be earned from a popular page, and with a dedicated fanbase, it is possible, interesting to see how it all play's out.

EDIT: I can join Mineplex, So I donno
Mineplex is up, I think either users before were given gems, or kits got less pricy, as I was able to buy a ton of kits :D. As for the server separation, it's not that bad, but free servers were sometimes full in 3 seconds, but gameplay-wise, there's still the kits, with premium ones I have no Idea are accessible to the free users, otherwise if it's not accessible to everyone, then mineplex already violated some rules. Server is still up and running, but it's only day 1 of EULA

On the subject of this EULA mess I side with most of the Minecraft community in saying that Mojang made a mistake in destroying servers with the new regulations. I was never a person who purchased kits or ranks on servers and thus I am not biased on that front. My entire argument against this is mostly a restating of Bebopvox's EULA video, so I suggest you check that out before anything. The argument is everything the EULA just banned is the money that keeps servers running, so without purchasable ranks, servers have two main options for gaining money.
Option one is asking for donations. Now there are many good people in the Minecraft community however, many of us can't afford to give fifty dollars to some server and get nothing in return. Option two is what most servers will resort to, and isn't fun for those of us who can't afford it. Option two is charging for entry to servers/subscribtions. You know all those free servers you and your friends love playing on, be prepared to pay upwards of fifty dollars a month to play on them.
I doubt this post will be seen by many and will be ignored by those who see it, but please try to donate at least a dollar to your favorite servers. Keep the servers you love running. And a special message to Mojangsters, some people run servers for a living, you may have just cost them there jobs, I hope you're happy Mojang...I hope your happy.
When people complain about how this wont cover the costs needed to provide for the server, it makes me laugh.
This way, people with real jobs and dedicated people will make good servers. Makes the server better and more effort is put into it, as oppose to some kid wanting to make friends by making a makeshift minecraft server.
You know what i think? Mojang is going off on the wrong people. PAID SERVER HOSTS, they are selling part of mojangs game ( a paid server ) to someone else, isnt that against the EULA, Mojang should cut some slack on the people who pay for their servers.

The paid server hosts aren't actually. What they're selling is access to a computer in a datacentre somewhere that has minecraft server software preinstalled

Jk, though it is sad most servers that rely on purchases are going to die out

Also TunikaFilms that is very rude to people who run servers for a living.
