Minecraft is a strange game to me. I’m an average FPS guy, normally play games like Counter Strike, Battlefield, etc. so MC seems unappealing at first. But I got persuaded into playing the game again and again and decided to give it a try. Jumped into Survival mode and the game was indeed ugly, which was a let down, felt like you’re playing a title from the 90s. But I paid for the game anyway so lets see what’s the hype everybody talks about. I wandered around, in the middle of a blocky jungle, with bare hands, which is quite a survival thing. With bare hands I was able to destroy some grasses, and punched some woods, which seemed to be collectable. Then I opened my inventory and was able to combine some woods with the same color to make ‘planks’. Clueless me spent the next hour collecting and combining tons of stuffs til I was able to make a pickaxe - my first tool. Then came hours and hours with various trips deeper into the island of minecraft, along all the crafting stuffs. The experiment was very different from what I’ve got from gaming before, but also an exciting one.
After a week it’s safe to say that I’m hooked on this game. About to move into Creative mode - I’m not very good with fighting the underground monsters that MC brings up. Joined some friends and we’re going to build a replica of our hometown monument, at least that’s the start. Installed some mods, which made the game more comfortable to the eyes. No more doubts about whether the game was good. I totally recommend MC for anyone who wants a game that rewards creativity, and don’t let the graphic fools you.
Btw, this is my small website about Minecraft Color Codes, I think i will learn how to create a Minecraft mod or maybe a server in the near future :D.
