I was wondering what are some of the unexplainable things you minecrafters have experience. Bet you can't beat this
Wierdest Thing that has happened to me: I was building my starter house on the first day when there was an explosion under me, I was playing ssp, easy mode, no creeper or tnt noise before it exploded, and did no damage to anything. I dug down where it happened but there was nothing. Wierd huh
I got some blocks from the snapshots, and then I downgraded to 1.7 and when I loaded the world, there was stone instead of diorite. So I thought that when I went back into the snapshot, it would stay as stone, luckily for data values, it turned back into diorite!
There are some cool bugs too, like in world generation in the desert and the lakes have floating sand above them, when you break the sand, it all falls, that's really cool to see

Yeah but that's was just seriously weird but funny at the same time.
So I found a nether fortress (as you can tell), and I used that as a source of blaze rods. After several visits, I come back and find a chicken in/by the fortress! The fortress is pretty far away from my portal. This is completely legit. No mods. No cheats. My mind was blown.
I had a Sheep follow me from my house into the portal and then Somehow pushed me in the lava. the weird thing is all i had was a iron pick and sword so there was no reason for it to follow me.
This is like the 5th post that I have seen where someone said they heard or saw a random explosion take place. Normally I'd dismiss such suggestions, but I'm starting to wonder if there is something to it. I guess it could just be a mod of some sort, which explains everything, but I don't know....
The chickens in the Nether, that's kind of common now with the new coding for chicken jockies. I don't know the code, but I think the game tries to spawn a jockey and if it can't, but can still spawn the chicken, it will just spawn the chicken.
I found a small cave with a villager in it while mining once. No way in, and no way out. Turned out there was a village above it, but I couldn't figure out how he got in there.

Somebody sniped me with a long range TNT cannon. It was outside of render distance(normal), direct hit. Funny bit was that I saw it a few milliseconds before it killed me.
(I wasn't even mad, most epic way to die. Gave the sniper my stuff, he earned it)
Moral of the story kids, always snipe with TNT. Most impressive way to kill a target.

I once found a spot where there seemed to be a light source, but there wasn't, there wasn't even a gap light could pass through.
Yep; that's pretty much the inverse of the black-spots bug, which I occasionally encounter in caves, particularly where water flowed over lava. Also, I've encountered a bug where water/lava doesn't flow from a spring, or a stream abruptly stops (note that I mostly play modded but I've also seen these in vanilla and doubt any of the mods I use have any effect on them).
I was taking things out of my chest and it just self-destructed after I got my stuff. This happened in 1.2.1 so there was no trapped chests. If it was a creeper, I took no damage despite being right in front of the chest. I heard the chest explode and saw it blow up, the gods must not of like what I just took.
No joke, the chest just spontaneously combusted. Weird.

I am currently lurking more than I am posting. I haven't gone anywhere.
Another one, I was playing MCPE with 2 friends and I made a trap hole that went down to bedrock from the surface. Both of them Fell down the hole and They both survived with full hearts. But one of them decided to do it again and died. Wierd and I couldn't believe it
I have started or been in 3 worlds since the latest update (one LP, one test, and one server). Not a single one of them has a jungle anywhere close to spawn. In the server world we have explored 10000 blocks in every direction and found no jungle. What are the odds? Does anybody know?
I have a bunch of stuff in my inventory, but only half a heart left. So I saved in case something happened. Then I was walking and fell into a hole and died. Instead of respawing I accidentally left the game, but went back in. I appeared where I had last saved it with one heart, so I continued walking; this time there was a cow near so I cooked it and got healed. I then went into the whole where I died because I saw many ores, but to my suprise, There was all my stuff from when I last died. When I picked it up, I had doubled everything In my inventory. It was amazing and odd at the same time.

Of course before I found out it was a bug.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?

I was not able to repeat this...
