I quit playing minecraft becaue of the creeper bug.In my home well lit, during the day a creeper will spawn right behind me and blow up faster than I can react destroying my home and chests.I deleted my world and quit when 3 creepers spawned and destroyed most everything I spent the day working on.. they spawned in places well lit, during the day and mostly instataneously right behind me. Yep.. I would walk into my well lit workshop look around, close the door behind me and make sure the coast is clear only to open a chest and hear the fizz of a creeper behind me... instantly spawning in a well lit room right behind me.. MANY TIMES..I am tired of this. This isn't challenging, it's stupid. I can't play the game without creepers just poping up anywhere they want day or night and there is nothing i could do about it. Building a caslte with lights on every squared didn't seem to matter.Since I can't play the game without being totally dominated by creepers no matter what I do, I quit. It's not fun having my stuff blown up all the time no matter how much I protect it. How does one protect against an enemy that appears instantly behind you all the time. It's not fun.Creepers and their buggy behavior ruined the game for me. Moving on with my life now. What a waste of money this game was.
So you're going to throw away a $30 game because of creepers?
Taking the necessary precautions isn't that hard (e.g. lighting up the area around you so they don't spawn, not building at night, making sure the area is clear before you build, etc.). Or, if you want to, you could use the command (if you have cheats activated):
/gamerule mobGriefing false
Creepers will still explode, but they wont break blocks.
Bouncing ball... I don't think you read my post and if cheating is what i have to do to play the game, then I am not intrested. Creepers will spawn right behind me regardless of time of day, regardless of being in a well lit closed room or not, they would spawn right behind me and blow up. I did take precautions which led to 3 creepers spawning in my chest area, well lit, during the day and all 3 creepers all at once destroyed the whole room....
there is no challenge here. the game is broken, cheating is not a solution.

They aren't spawning, they just don't despawn during the day.
I understand your issue with cheating. Though personally, I'd rather cheat to make a game more enjoyable rather than flushing $30 down the toilet.
Well, there are a couple things you can try. I would check the block lighting on every space of the room you are in. Press the f3 key then look for the value next to BL, that stands for block lighting. If the value is 8 or higher, it will prevent mobs from spawning. If the BL is lower than 8, your room is not that well lit.
The other thing that maybe happening is that mobs are pathfinding from somewhere else, possibly a cave nearby or something.
Uhh, I have never ever had this problem. Ever. And I have had my survival world since Alpha. So either you have a mod installed making this happen, or your areas are not as well lit up as you think. Oh yeah, or this is just entirely made up. (Which, a word of advice, if you are gonna say creepers keep spawning right behind you, make sure first that the game doesn't have a rule saying mobs can't spawn within a certain amount of blocks of you. Makes your story more believable).

The problem with the truth, is that it never lies.

A very fun and moddable open world sandbox. You can find it at the developers' store here.
PopuliMinisturm, please keep your assumptions and arrogance to yourself. What I have experienced is factual. When I walked into my chest room and closed the door behind me there were no monsters in the room. It was well lit, with torches on every square all around the room.... I opend a chest, heard a fizz, then another and another... three creepers behind me blew up the entire room. It happened regardless of your belief. I have nothign to gain from telling everyone why I quit.

The command is /gamerule mobGriefing false, not /gamecheat mobGriefing false
edit: Incidentally, I like that they called it "griefing", because that's what I always thought way since alpha. I always play with it on, along with keepInventory true.
If you don't want to use the /gamerule command, then you could change the difficulty to Peaceful to prevent them and other hostile mobs from spawning at all. What game version are you using, btw?

~Your_Life is now AFK I don't care if you hate Comic Sans. I'm going to keep using it.

Mobs can't spawn right there behind you unless the settings have been modified. A cracked client, a mod, or a griefer (if you're on a multiplayer server) could be responsible. It's odd that there are only creepers spawning, no? If there's truth to it, they're probably spawning on top of your house and camping out only to wind up falling into your house. They'll stick around after nighttime is over since they don't burn up in the day, and if there's a pressure plate outside of any of your doors, the door can open up for them to wander into. Also, they'll spawn in any dark part of a room, no matter how well-lit the rest of the room is.
If you really want someone on it, zip up the map and upload it somewhere, posting the coordinates where you're having an issue. If it's reproducible, you have a case for a bugfix, which they do for every update. There's no reason to quit the game for good when any real issues get taken care of within the month.
When I first started, I never lit up the roof of my house. Creepers would spawn up there during the night and when I came out the door in the morning they would drop down behind me and boom. I would never light up the ground outside my house either, and that caused a ton of creeper problems (day creepers) that were left over from the previous night.

Note that this isn't going to happen if you switch to half blocks for your roofing. Mobs won't spawn on stairs and slabs. There's no need to light your house like a Christmas tree

It is not his belief, it is the way the game is programmed, no hostile mobs spawn within a good distance from you and only on certain blocks that have a light level of 7 or less. Your story basically can not be true unless you are using mods to change the way the mob spawning works.
