I'm a teenager, who started playing Minecraft in 2011. It still wasn't that popular of a game. But now, almost every day I see some younger kid wearing a Minecraft shirt. I feel cheated, because I don't have one. I never wanted one, but now since these kids are wearing the shirts and acting like they know everything about Minecraft, I kind of want a shirt to show that I know more than them.
I got Minecraft from an older friend, and the way I see it Minecraft spread from older kids to younger kids.
I also see a lot of hate on SkyDoesMinecraft lately, and it is because of his young fans spreading every quote he says. But that's not the point.
So is Minecraft being "taken over" by young "fan boys"?
Minecraft isn't being "taken over." There is no rule about to many young kids playing a game like this anyway. If a bunch of teens played some Dora game, the little kids would be thinking it is "getting taken over" to. I'm only 12 anyway. (Don't kill me)
Not just Minecraft, I've seen 10-year-olds with CoD shirts...such an urge to SSSSSSSSSSSSmack.
I think children get the shirts to be "cool," or something....

i do not think so there is alot more that goes into minecraft than just sporting a tshirt or knowing a couple poeple on youtube. ive noticed everyday there is always some kid that thinks they know everything about minecraft then can not install a simple mod or learn how to post a poper crash report . what about not knowing how to update to the newest minecraft version or even checking for compatibility EVEN with this newer launcher everything is spoon fed to you and these younger people still can not figure it out. i look on bukkit dev and see all the so called kiddie devs thinking they are cool because they made a plugin posted to bukkit and then think they know how to program because they stole code from a youtube tutorial that walked them through it line by line. and are flooding these lists with plugins that they dont even know how to update themselves when a new minecraft version comes out. people that have trouble port forwarding setting up a server or cant even google a simple connection timed out or refused error or atleast should know what that means. even about building simple houses or super large amazing builds i see comments " i made a dirt house once" or i made a mansion and honestly the build isnt that great. minecraft isnt about WHO plays or how old you are while playing its about what you do while youre playing and what you do with your experience while being able to be a part of the community that this game has. every game always has its trolls and bad players but then id say because of what i know about this game and what i do to help , id say its because of older players in this game is why it attracts the younger crowd. id say it belongs to the older crowd and players and what we have done to make this game grow and how much weve changed it throughout the years. i know for one that if anything ive done in this game for it or much ive helped that even if its just 1 or thousands of people appreciate my work .. im happy

Notch nor Jeb said "7-11 year olds shouldn't play this game". So there shouldn't be an issue with it, But, I do kinda think it is annoying to see a 8 year old playing Minecraft on Xbox.
Yes, more kids are playing Minecraft than before, but I don't think Minecraft had been 'taken over' by them. See, quite a lot of players are teenagers and adults!
Young kids aren't taking over Minecraft because there isn't anyone to take it over from. Minecraft is not exclusive to one age group, and never has been. People of all ages play Minecraft (the youngest I know is 9, the oldest is 56, but I'm sure there are players beyond either end of that). That's kind of the point, actually: there's something for someone of every age and every skill level to do in the game. Some people just want to play with virtual building bricks. Some people want to design redstone computers. Some want to do incredibly elaborate builds. Some just want to beat up zombies. And they all can.
If you're envious of kids with T-shirts, might I recommend a trip to the Minecraft store to buy one of your own?
I have a seven year-old little brother who I taught how to play Minecraft. Only Creative though, he doesn't like the monsters. He adores the building aspect of the game, and always shows his creations to me.
I was going to simply say "Yes" in reply of the original post... But this made me smile.
Well, it doesn't matter if little kids "take over" the community, so long as they aren't as bad as Sky Does Minecraft fanboys, and I'd like it best if their parents taught them right and wrong (the mistake that parents of kids who play Call of Duty do).

I think there are a lot of kids on here. I'm 18, and when I play on a server and I ask if someone wants to be in a faction of mine, and they end up being, like, 10, I am like: *facepalm* If someone is going to be in my faction, at LEAST be 15.

So what if a little kid dresses up as a Minecraft pig, or Steve for Halloween? Does that make them a fanboy? Not unless they talk endlessly about it, and lash out at anyone who says otherwise.

You have no right to complain about this, because nobody really "found the game first". Does it really matter how long you've been playing Minecraft? The point is, is that its a game. A really good game. Saying "I found the game first." doesn't mean anything.

Kill two stones with one bird whenever possible
In my old school, I always see LOTS of people in my grade talking about Minecraft, but most people there only had Xbox 360 Edition.
In my now school, I'm the only person who plays Minecraft...
And last week, I saw 2 little kids wearing a Minecraft shirt.
I was watching a Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Troll Video and the guy trolled a group of kids on their world.
So yes, it could be possible.

I see what you did there. XD
And who cares anyways. As long as you and others are having fun, the game is doing its purpose and that's all that you need to think about.

To show you let me provide an example:
