Getting past something most people can't gives you a certain rush. By hacking i mean hacking. Not downloading a client that allows you to fly or break blocks faster. That is NOT hacking. Sorry if you thought you were a Hax0r.
psychological. And to make themselves seem epic at minecraft. That's why it's important for small servers to be grief-able, they need to act as cannon fodder for griefers to protect big servers like Hive MC.

Small servers are waaay better then those huge ones. Let them hack the big ones.
Because they're sociopaths. We all know that these "hackers" are griefers. That said, they obviously find enjoyment in other's pain, which is how they lose friendships and waste their time. I honestly don't know much more than that but it's pretty obvious they don't seem to care about all other aspects of the game.
Why do people grief? I knew two guys who griefed for revenge, because we'd banned them. (They deserved it, I assure you.) Who says people can't hack for the same reason?

Except that true griefers grief and use hacks against people who didn't do anything to them.

griefing is part of the multiplayer experience get over it also there are plenty of servers with owners that have been back into a corner because of players whining about it so they add plugins to stop it.

I just laugh at everyones response here.Oh yes lets just say every cheater sucks at a game because they like making you mad for entertainment. So people that troll in games like Battlefield and Call of duty are suddenly bad at the game? Why do I cheat?I do it to teach server owners a lesson about protecting their server.

You're probably a griefer yourself, or you condone griefing on your server.
Either way, griefing is NOT "part of the multiplayer experience." Griefing is something each and every video game designer did not want. "Get over it" isn't a good solution either, considering people who actually want to build and work with others instead of fight have to suffer while the trolls get away scott-free,
Because hackers are bored, and another question would be why play computer games in the first place, to get girls, money, etc. there is no gain anyways to begin with.
There are servers made from griefing. It's part of the game that many people enjoy the challenge of, and it's not up to you to just decide that people should just not enjoying it.
I don't support griefing on servers where it is disallowed, but faction/griefing servers can be pretty fun.
I'm not deciding that people shouldn't be enjoying it, but some people actually don't like griefing and instead want to build, mine and explore, so that should be taken into consideration as well.
Most "hackers" dont' really hack at all...they just say "If you don't give me op/creative/admin, I'm going to hack your server bla bla" They rarely actually "do" it. I've banned many a person who has said this...it does get annoying, I'd say.

yep that's what happens they use third party code to modify their jar file the correct internet term for you "hackers" is script kiddy
They are not hackers to be a hacker it requires skill with computers and programing. These are script kiddies.
Script kiddies are dumb and the people who provide them with the code are just as dumb because then it's a wasted talent.
Except that true griefers grief and use hacks against people who didn't do anything to them.

They are just stealing some code and place it in a client, not hacking at all.
The worst thing they could do is DDoS servers, after they have bought a booter from someone.
Dude, that's actually a good thing.
