Windows 8, and some other computers, and maybe an iPad if you don't like the PE!
Correct me if I'm wrong but... didn't Notch say he didn't want minecraft on Windows 8?
Not related to your post: This seems like a good idea on Mojang's part, but wouldn't you need a keyboard to access the options menu in the first place? I've never used a touchscreen computer aside from iPads (which don't support java and don't allow you to download files from browsers) so forgive my limited knowledge

Can be true, maybe there's a little options icon or you have to touch in a counter or something.
1. Exactly what is touch used for here? Minecraft is controlled via mouse and keyboard.
2. So, considering the vast majority of touch-enabled PC's are under-power OEM machines that could never even consider running Minecraft, and touch monitors for decent PC's are absurdly expensive ($5,000 for a 1080 monitor!?) I doubt this will see much use.

The Internet is a big place, friend. I've been places you've n͍̺e̩v̦e̦̰͍͓̩ͅr̜̭̝̬̬͉̤̬ ͙ịm̖͇a͍͇̤͙̥g̤̘i͔͖̤̼̪̬n͖͔̳̬̯e̩̘ḓ͈͔̠̙͇̼̯.͎
This will probably just end up being one of those stupid things like 3D anaglyph that nobody will end up using, but will just be there anyways
I actually use 3D anagylph mode. It's not something I use 100% of the time, but it's actually pretty damn cool to see your world in 3D rather than 3D rendered in 2D. The only bad thing is that it screws up the colors. If we could use polarized glasses instead that would be better (but would require special hardware in addition to software changes).
Do you actually have a touchscreen? Just because you bought a windows 8 doesn't mean your screen is touchscreen, most windows 8 computers don't come with touchscreens.

and my pc is custom built so it probably did not come with a touch screen monitor
Discuss.
((also, your bug in your sig freaks me out xD))
It's good to see they added a feature for touchscreen when it probably isn't used by people that often. How thoughtful of them.
Time flies, but so does my pig.

I am aswell, but I know that Windows 8 only does Touchscreen with a specific monitor.
If you have one, you need to update.
