I've been working on my singleplayer world for a while now and suddenly in the middle of my house there a chunk missing.
I've tried restarting minecraft, (asswell as my computer), jumping in it (kills me) and updating minecraft but there is still this huge hole that I cant get rid off.
It's the only missing chunk I've come across in my minecraft world, here is a screenshot:
I really want to get rid off this missing chunk, it's one of my best survival worlds, allot of hours have been put in it.
Does anyone know what I am supposed to do to fix this?
So that's not a normal chunk error which makes your moving glitchy when you step into it? If you are able to place blocks within that chunk and jumping in causes you to fall out of the world I'd say that your world file is corrupted.
I have no idea how to fix that or if that's even fixable. You may need to make a new world...
No. You can relog, get an old world save and play off that, try to use MCEdit or WorldEdit to cover it up (if it's possible), and see if that helps.
I've seen this before. Leave the area, like go explore a good 100 meters away or more then return.
I took a train ride to another area and when I returned the chunk reloaded as expected,
