40-100. I have a 5-6 year old PC. It's about time I go grab a upgrade. I think I can built a machine that runs almost any game on market super smooth for 800-1000$ now, maybe not with maxed out settings. Now if only I HAD 800-1000$ dollars to spare :P.
But getting a part time job would kill the little free time I have left to play video games...
I play completely vanilla, full screen (1080P) and settings completely maxxed out, and I get 60-80 FPS.
I don't understand why I don't get thousands because I have an overkill system... Phenom II x6 1100T OC'd to 3.7 Ghz and Radeon HD 6870. Any ideas?
15-20. Yep, that's how bad my PC is. It's a Windows Vista, so that pretty much explains it. Hopefully though, there's a chance I'm getting a Windows 7 laptop this Christmas, which will most likely boost my framerate up dramatically. Possibly Windows 8, as I've heard some stores will charge about $15 more to install Windows 8 on a Windows 7 laptop.
I get about 70 to 120 on my laptop and 250 to 500 on my PC with everything maxed out @ 1080p [no optifine] 130 to 220 on my laptop and 400 to 850 on my PC with Max settings @ 1080p [OPTIFINE]
I have the worst computer
It's one of those tiny laptops that are good if you don't need 10GB of space, or speed.
I get around 0-20FPS normally
My MAX:51 FPS(On superflat and tiny render distance)
I don't know if you're taking the ****, but there's no way you get that, even with the lowest settings.
By looking at your computer specs, it clearly shows that your computer isn't good enough to even run it at 1000, never mind 5000.
Also, your computer specs don't really make sense. It says your GPU's are clocked at 939GHz. 'Da ****?
I see threads like this a lot and you always get people who say they get 3000+ fps when they clearly don't.
What is the point in lying?
I'm not lying, here is a picture I just took of Vanilla Minecraft on the lowest settings without OptiFine.
Nah JK, I typically get about 10 - 20 FPS. IDK why, probably because I have everything in Optifine set to FANCY! It doesn't really bother me much, I am kinda used to choppyness and lag. I should probably overclock my GPU a bit more than I have it set, but I don't want to risk breaking another one, as I do not have the money to afford it.
Good enough

Lol maybe I should buy a new pc. Mine is about 5-6 years old and still running Windows XP.
On default texture pack, I get approximately 120 FPS.

i LOL'd. same here.
For some reason AMD Processors seem to run Minecraft better, my specs are,
Intel core i7 990X Extreme Edition 4.2GHz
3-Way SLI 580 GTX Stock settings
18GB Corsair DDR3
Asus Rampage III
Corsair SSD 232GB
3TB HDD
And somehow multiple people with AMD Processors seem to get a better Framerate on Minecraft than me.
Minecraft has to be the only game to do that XD.
If I set it to minimal, it can go in the upwards of 1,000.
i5-2500k quad @ 3.4GHz

60GB SSD

Just out of curiosity, how come you have so much memory allocated to Minecraft?

No idea, it was just like that by default.
I just run it with java -jar %APPDATA%\.minecraft\minecraft.jar (I dropped the launcher jar there so I could do that).
