You know I was thinking about buying it for a few minutes. Then I saw the price. I don't know if $35 is worth it for one small Lego set. Then I thought about it some more, I will just build it once then never touch it again. So, it looks cool. But i'm not buing it. Are you getting it?
I never did much like just building the sets when I played with LEGOs. I always enjoyed having the sets mixed-up to create supercreations that were products of my imagination more so than a product of a manual. I went for the sets with cool pieces because they would allow me to make the most interesting creations. Even if I were still interested that much in LEGOs today, I don't think I would spring for the Minecraft stuff, as the sets look mostly just bland.
Minecraft is basically a massive computerized Lego set. My personally opinion on Minecraft Lego is that the theme is redundant. So, my answer is no. Not to mention the Minecraft itself costs less than the set you mentioned, OP.

I can understand why some people won't be buying it, but I'm fine with the scale and appearance of it. While Minecraft and LEGO both use "blocks", they are still very much different from each other and have their own unique fun and creativity. I'll probably be buying the LEGO Minecraft set, as (just like Minecraft) I can expand and build on the four little chunks in the set.

"Victory is like a watermelon. It's hard to spell and it tastes good."
I was hoping that they make "minifigure" compatible so I could make stop-motions out of them.
I would of prefered a normal Lego guy as Steve also. I'm happy with the creeper look. But Steve just looks horrible. If they made him have a normal Lego sturucture and came with a pickaxe, I may have been tempted to buy it. But he looks horrible now.
I'm not going to, I guess I expected something really cool but honestly it just didn't turn out as I expected.
And yeah, definitely too pricey as well.
$35 is way too expensive for that. All legos are expensive now, though. I miss the days when I was a child, when they were cheap, and you could get a lot of them for a low price. That lead to supercreations. This leads to nothing good really.
I would only pay about $20 or less. Besides, Lego Minecraft looks like Duplo. So no, I am not getting it because it's way too expensive, and I hate Lego Duplo.

I'm still using Windows 7.
I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.

Irony in the first degree.
