What IS the point of Minecraft. My friend asked me what it was and I couldn't really give him a staright awnser. I do play it reguarlly but still i haven't figured it out. Why do people like Minecraft? Why do I like Minecraft? All we do is place blocks around and it still has five million people that bought it. If anyone can figure it out it would be appreciated.
Like any game, the real purpose is either to pass the time, or for entertainment. Sure, some games influence ou enough to think that the purpose is for something in the game.
It's like asking what's the point of life. There is no actual set point, you're just given things to make your own point out of it, and that's the beauty of Minecraft, it's what you want it to be.

What I was trying to say is that there is no actual definition of the point of life, the point of your life is what you make it be the point.
There is always so many points to life and Minecraft. What you say is rubbish, IMHO.
Its a "sandbox" game dude it have NO point you give your self a point if you want a point then wait for adventure mode to be released
