I don't know about you guys, but I really hate the way cats act in the 1.2.4
I mean, not only are you unable to use anything that they're sitting on, whether it be furnaces, chests, or beds, but also, when they're trying to sit on these things they wont even teleport to you when you go far away unless your holding a raw fish, and even then I don't think there's a 100% guarantee that they will... It's freaking annoying. I honestly think that Notch should change the way cats act back to the way it was before, and if not completely get rid of that behavior, at least make it so that cats will still teleport to you when you get far enough away... Anyone who agrees should post something on this topic so we can all go on a rant about it together.
Ps: I know that a few of you will probably just be like "Oh, there's a simple solution, just backdate your Minecraft to 1.2.3" but that's not an option because I already build a fairly big structure out of the new kind of sandstone before I realized just how annoying cats trying to sit on your stuff is.

Endermen are epic! They help you in battle, and lead you to valuable crap in mines! If you click that link, you've done a good thing :3
My cat just sits on the floor lol. Maybe it's because I tamed the cat before I updated to 1.2.4? Either ways. can't you just nudge them off? Hit them once lol.

"If it not for sits why is it made of warm?"
Sounds like normal cat behavior to me, seems cats are now more realistic.
my solution, set a chest (it's only 8 planks) in the cats room to be its bed, or for the creative. bury a chest level with the dirt right outside your home/base.

Ocelots are like that because they are made to act like real life cats. My cat always sits on my things, so I kind of like it when my ocelots sit on my items. If you don't like them on your things, just push them off. Or smack 'em.

Well, my real cat never does that. She sits on her favorite stool and that's it. Or she sits on the couch. But she never sits on my stuff.
Also, this poses a HUGE problem for cats' safety in Minecraft. I was helping a friend build an underground house in Multiplayer, and we found a jungle while getting supplies. I managed to find an Ocelot, tamed in, and brought it to our underground house. Well, she sat on a chest while a Creeper got in. I ran away from the Creeper, but my friend was standing next to my cat while typing, and my cat wouldn't follow me. Guess what happened next? Hissssss... BOOM! And then my cat was dead. I thought Creepers didn't like cats?
I've never had a cat in Minecraft but my cat in real life is always around me and sitting in front of my screen, next time she does it im going to cut her, jokes I love my cat!
I have no chests and furnaces in a testificate's house. I have 3 siamese cats, two tabby cats (one is kitten, one is a cat), and one tuxedo cat. But cats are sitting on my chair (stairs), and the table (pressure plate + fence)
I always thought that implementing that stuff was a complete herpty durr move on Jeb's part. Yeah sure, it's more realistic. Then again, making our legs break at enough fall damage would be realistic too, but would be a bad add to the game. Cats sitting on your stuff may have been funny or cute the first time, but it gets real stupid after a while.

But there isn't really a lot of space to sleep on =/ She likes to sleep in a ball, so . . . eh.
But yeah, I find it adowwable >3<
Besides, in the 1.2.5 update tomorrow/next day, you can push cats off your stuff and they'll get the picture quickly.
Which is nice ^^
