Here are a few obscure/interesting Minecraft facts:
-If the player wears a pumpkin on their head or looks at an Enderman through a transparent block such as glass, ice, leaves, or fence posts, it will not turn hostile when looked at.
-Zombie Pigmen can be created in The Overworld if Lightning strikes a Pig
-If caught with a fishing rod while neutral, an Enderman will remain neutral even after being pulled in, though the fact that they teleport away when hit with the fishing lure makes this of limited potential use
-When walking in the Overworld, Zombie Pigmen will spontaneously combust at random times; Fire will engulf them for a split second, but then disappear without appearing to cause them any harm. The brief flicker of flames will also occur if it is struck by lightning a second time.
-Zombie Pigmen can climb up ladders and attack the player while doing so; however, they will not use this to their advantage, and use a ladder only if it is right in front of them.
-Creepers and skeletons cannot see a player through glass (when not aggravated)
-Charged creeper explosions are 50% more powerful than TNT and twice that of a normal creeper's.
-Charged creepers take damage from the initial lightning strike, so it takes fewer attacks to kill them than an ordinary creeper.
-A creeper's fuse countdown lasts a little longer if it encounters a cobweb
-It is also possible to deal a Critical hit on a fireball, since it is an entity
-Ghast sounds were made by C418's cat
-Cave Spider poison does affect Skeletons, but will not kill them because the venom only brings entities down to half a heart.
-Magma Cubes cannot swim in lava
-Unlike tiny slimes, tiny Magma Cubes can still hurt the player
-Magma cubes do not seem to take fall damage
-If the player is under/over a skeleton, it will shoot itself.
-If a player throws a chicken egg at a docile spider and hits, the spider will stay neutral.
-Causing a spider to take fall damage or damage from a cactus after attacking it during the day causes it to become neutral again
-By putting a pig with saddle in a minecart, and getting it off the tracks, it acts like a car. But with opposite controls.
-If you damage the sheep 7 hits (3 1/2 hearts) you can get 5 wool blocks by clicking both mouse buttons at the same time while holding shears, though it requires practice as you have 1/20 of a second between each mouse click.
-Fish are easier to catch during rain
---New Facts added 2/28---
-Boats crashing into soul sand don't break.
-If you place soul sand in front of a 1x2 doorway you can only walk through one way.
-If you are in a completely dark area with grass you can use bonemeal to create tall grass (and flowers) that will automatically uproot for easy collection.
-No hostile mobs spawn in mushroom biomes (or underground in caves under mushroom biomes)
It's possible some of these are bugs that have been fixed but some are just obscure and interesting to know about. So forum, do you know any other obscure and/or interesting facts?
The pig car is awesome!!! Never knew that before! I tried it immediately in creative mode and yep thats a car. Awfully hard to control though and not very fast but, it is a car!
