Hmm.... thats pretty tough to remember but it would had to have been when I made my first legit Minecraft house made out of stone (Beta 1.7.3) And then I got my hands on an inventory editor and blew it up with TNT, I think of it now and if I had that world it would mean so much to me!
My epic Minecraft-Fail has nothing to do with creepers (although my fails often have to do with them) but with my own epic stupidness. It was when I finally had nearly everything I needed - I had an enchantment table, a diamond sword and pickaxe, a well-enchanted bow, a farm, animals, a safe house and a Ravine directly in front of it - except for that cool brewing stand - when I finally thought: "Ok, time to visit the netherrr..." I thought I was smart when I took 14 obsidians and flint and tinder with me, thinking that if I lit a portal in the nether, 100 blocks (as an example) away from my old one, it would also be 100 blocks away in the other world.
Well, I went into the nether, walked a quite short distance and tadaah, there it was, the nether stronghold (or whatever they're called) with enough Lohen in them to fight to get a brewing stand. I took some blaze rods with me and also some glowstone and then I lit the portal right in the stronghold. "Ok", i thought, "Now I have to go through the portal and then just walk a bit north then I'm home." I thought, going through the normal world was easier than going through the nether.
Needless to say I went through the portal and found myself in a completely different chunk, in a completely different biome and without any clue where to go. But hey, I tried it anyway! I walked about 3 days in one way (don't ask me how I survived the nights, honestly), then thought I was wrong and tried to walk back, then again changed the direction and finally thought I found the desert I knew in the real world. Well, it wasn't. And stupid me,what was like the biggest fail was that I didn't wrote down the coordinates, neither from the portal nor from my home, and I had all my diamond stuff with me! So I saw no other chance to get home than to die. I found a little structure, like a temple or a well, near a river in that desert. I made myself a chest, put in my blaze rods, glowstone and diamond stuff, and then drowned myself in the river. Well, no, this time I was actually smart enough to write down the coordinates.
When I walked back to my chest, I really saw how far I was away from home and my only thought was "Fail!" >.<
Tl;dr: Several (real life time) hours of stupidly walking through the normal world while it would've taken me 2 minutes in the nether >.<
I quit minecraft for a little bit, because I kept spawning with a pack of wolves that I was always tempted to attack. I got killed over and over again. Finally I learned how to craft a sword, killed the whole pack, thought I was clever and was then killed by a skeleton with a bow.
Wooop. N00bz n shiz. ... Haha why are we all so skilled for?

Once, I went mining in an abandonned mineshaft. My inventory was filled in no time, I had like 3 full stacks of iron ore and maybe one full stack of gold. I died in the way, and since I was lost, everything despawned. I went mining again, and the same thing happened. It happened another time after that. I completely emptied the mineshaft by doing that.
Also, in another map, on the same server, I found a small abandoned house with a chest in it. There was a sign outside of it saying "You can take anything you want, I don't care" (seems legit). I entered carelessly and once in, I found out I was caught in an obvious noob trap. Everything blew up. The guy who made the trap found out someone went in it, and I eventually did as if it was not me.
Since then, I find myself really stupid sometimes.
I was walking around my new world, and decided "I'm going to take over that village house."
I walk inside without armor or weapons to find Mr. Enderman had dibs on the house. Here's the fail: I BEAT him with my fist, and get his pearl. I die using the pearl.

My avatar-Madison Gotha. She knows various weapons, she's a mage/sage, and is somewhat immortal. Madison has the capability of taming and communicating monsters, a genetic trait passed down by her father. 26 physically, 1400-something mentally, and a Lofty Peakian/Zenithian mix. Doesn't really like being called an elf and hates being called human..
I might be Moderator, but don't bother treating me too special. And don't make tons of Ban Hammer jokes, please. Also, I'm an Off-Topic only Mod. Don't ask me to lock a thread or something if it's not in the off-topic
I had diamond armor enchanted to infinite, and swam in lava with a friend. Then, my laptop decided to die. i continued to be in the lava, so my friend put water everywhere. I was being suffocated and in lava. i died, and as always, my stuff dropped at the pool of lava layer.
I decided ther was stone below the diamonds I was mining, needless to say there wasen't so I lost lots of iron and about 10 diamonds (including the ones I mined to my death)
