How can the terrain get boring?
There are caverns(huge ones)
The beaches look natural without gravel as gravel would just make it look a bit ugly(My opinion)
And tell me do you spend countless hours just looking at a few blocky grass hills?
Or do you build,mine etc.
How can the terrain get boring?
There are caverns(huge ones) Yeah, but there all Cylindar like, and last for hours
The beaches look natural without gravel as gravel would just make it look a bit ugly(My opinion) Beaches with the current terrain is crap, also I loved gravel beaches, WHAT's WRONG WITH YOU?!
And tell me do you spend countless hours just looking at a few blocky grass hills? Yes we do, but 90% of the time it's the crappy Extreme Hills.
Or do you build,mine etc.

If you load a huge map and look at it in x-ray the caves look like sphagetti. I want to conquer a cave, and return to the entrance without getting lost and not get the best armor in game in 10 minutes.
When I play on a survival island I literally have to FIX the beaches because they're ugly. If I want to make a public swimming beach I got to flatten the area. IMO old style Gravel makes them look good, the new one makes them look bad. Switch your Texture Pack if you don't like the look of new gravel.
The good hills like in 1.7.3 don't exist anymore. Only ugly treeless turquise Extreme Hills. X-Hills aren't even hills. But yes, maybe I like to build a cool looking house on the top of an epic mountain with trees and take a look at it from the bottom.
And that's all there is. No variation at all. Some people actually want to conquer a cave, not spend forever placing torches.
This looks natural, and pretty:

This does NOT:

People want building inspiration from those "blocky grass hills" that barely exist anymore.
1.Real caves can go on for miles and interlock with others.Mojang was making it realistic (And I like the current caves. When you are mining you wouldn't want to just keep hitting stones until you find something )
Also when I meant Caverns I meant those huge ones that you find in Extreme Hills biomes
2. The beach you shown me does look better than the current one but I haven't spotted any gravel in it
And how can you get inspiration from hills?Do you(in real life) get inspiration while looking at a grass hill?
2. The beach you shown me does look better than the current one but I haven't spotted any gravel in it
Because, unlike the current sea bedding, there is variety. Gravel beaches do not generate everywhere, you need to search for them. And now sea bedding consists of sand, dirt and clay. Everywhere. Every time you see water, you will see sand, clay and dirt.
Here is a gravel beach.
Nevermind 1.4.6, those are old screenshots, and that's a mod. In 1.7.3 it will look exactly same.
And how can you get inspiration from hills?Do you(in real life) get inspiration while looking at a grass hill?
What a nice hill/cliff/overhang/cove/place! I want to build there.
If you load a huge map and look at it in x-ray the caves look like sphagetti. I want to conquer a cave, and return to the entrance without getting lost and not get the best armor in game in 10 minutes. How can you get 24 diamonds in 10 minutes?Diamonds are very rare in caves

IMO old style Gravel makes them look good, the new one makes them look bad. Switch your Texture Pack if you don't like the look of new gravel. You didn't state any reason why they are ugly and I like using the default one

But yes, maybe I like to build a cool looking house on the top of an epic mountain with trees and take a look at it from the bottom There are hills in snow biomes(small ones) but they are hills and a few saplings in a extreme hills biome would fix that case
Tell me do you see trees on mountains in real life?
I must ask: Have you ever played pre 1.8? Yes I have actually [b/]

And gravel would make the bedding look ugly
Here is a gravel beach. And it looks unnatural
What a nice hill/cliff/overhang/cove/place! I want to build there. Those do still exist you know Extreme hills isn't very rare
And you don't have to see them.

What if I want a mountain in forest? Or a standalone mountain in water? Or nice green or yellowish grass? Or tall grass? Or horses naturally spawning nearby?
And, please, stop answering in quotes. I have to copy your answers manually, as the Quote button does not work with that.
I don't know what went wrong when I uploaded it. When I do the second one, I'll see what I can do, as it will be better anyway.
Ok. Did you see that your server mod is ready, so you can start working on other renders?
Though be sure not to use biome coloring on the renders. I use default biome placement there (A very old NBX quirk), so it will look very ugly.
Also, even if the quality will be better, it will still be barely readable. Because of color. White text on normal terrain and on black background, and black one on snow terrain will be much better.
In 1.7.3, mountains were more capable of being more spaced out and capable of having foliage. The problem with Extreme Hills is that it's the only place that has overhangs, mountains, etc. and that it's always barren.

Yes, someone mentioned that. I'll see what I can do.
Anyway, I just downloaded the mod. I don't think my renderer supports biome colors anyway.
To Exalm: That wont fix the gravels ugliness I don't want to stumble across a random gravel beach as it looks ugly
The Hills and mountains still do exist they just became a bit rarer (and smaller)
To Dullstar: Extreme hills are spaces out and have foliage and overhangs didn't and wouldn't look natural in a forest/snow/jungle etc. biome

Well, let's remove current beach biomes. They are ugly and I don't want to stumble across random sand as it look ugly.
Let's remove swamps, for the same reasons.
Rivers are ugly, let's remove them.
What else... Extreme Hills can be very ugly. Let's remove them. And let's not forget about jungle->taiga transitions. Jungle transitions are ugly, so let's remove them by removing jungles!
That's not an argument at all.

I'm waiting for something similar.

I'm not Dullstar, but I will still answer: So you want to say that overhangs look natural in Extreme Hills?

Find an IRL photo of an overhang surrounded by blue grass.
Also, what is wrong with me if I saw forest mountains and a gravel beach IRL (Or even 2. I don't remember if the first one had sand or gravel), but never saw bare mountains with blue grass?
Anyway, forget about grass colors. According to you, this is natural. Find something similar IRL.
And answer to other parts of that post. It has more words than "blue grass".

I lost 50% of my IQ while reading your comments.
1.You are not the only one who plays Minecraft other people might like gravel beaches. The fact that they are rare means that you won't see them very often. It would be good to have them because some people might like them more than normal beaches so there will be something for everyone and there will be a little bit more variety,
2. (The Hills and mountains still do exist they just became a bit rarer (and smaller)) We know we wan't hills and mountains in every biome like the forrest we know hills exist they are all the same hight most of the time and they have 1 tree per chunk that means that they will awlays look the same.
