I've seen many of those biomes over the last 6 months. I would blame pi for the problem because they come and go. Snow has become more of a problem because it stays and never melts unless you torch / shovel it. As for boring, if anything it's gotten more interesting including clifts in the water nice beaches and now tropical beaches with lush greenery. At some point you will find a "swiss cheese" mountain that is so full of holes you will get lost in the caves for days. Spelunker!
The symbol used to denote inequation (when items are not equal) is a slashed equals sign "≠" (Unicode 2260). In LaTeX, this is done with the "\neq" command.
Most programming languages, limiting themselves to the ASCII character set, use ~=, !=, /=, =/=, or <> to represent their boolean inequality operator.
I'm using the same font as you, apparently. I've never seen that symbol before, don't have it on my keyboard and, as I say I copied it into Google with no results.
I use Ubuntu font, and I unchecked "Allow sites use their own fonts" (Or IDK how it's called in the English locale) in Firefox.
Well, now you have seen it.
Some layouts have it on the third level on the += key (Normal: +; Shift: =; Alt: ≠; Alt+Shift: ±), but I typed it using Compose key: Compose/=.
Google fails to find anything also for ±, ∞ etc. IDK why.
Anyway, let's end this offtopic. If you want to continue keyboard discussion, PM me.
It's either still on the way, or in Mojangs trash bin

I ordered a package from California (I live in Georgia, huge difference, all the way across the States), and it took only a week. And it was a lot heavier than a letter.

About the letter: If no answer is received when you will release it for the public? And Cheese, the package was quicker than a letter because it was on the US and didn't left to the exterior. A package sent to two different countries needs to go through a more complex process which is revising the stuff, stamping it, or whatever. The only thing I got from the US was a foam pickaxe but it took like two weeks to arrive. However I think it's strange how long it's taking.
Another thing I found bad about the terrain is that I was looking for a desert and I found one. The catch is that it was too small and it was on the east bordered by a river and an EH biome on the other side and in the west by a forest.
Now that clearly doesn't make any sense. Shouldn't be the desert be bigger or simply removed?
I think that Mojang just made a terrain gen update (1.3) and that they dont need to do another intill at least 1.9 because if they kept changing the terrain people would keep leaving there worlds to make a new one just for new terrain

Hows about we keep the current generator as a worldtype for people who don't want to make a new world or are deeply satisfied with the current terrain?

Sorry, but thats no reason to NOT make a terrain update, and Dinnerbone said if theres one, it's lekely it would be in 1.6 And you could just make a Nether portal, travel in there a bit and make another portal, and you are in new chunks and a new generator.

That is exactly the deal. there is only ONE generator for the whole map - if there were generators for each chunk omg...we'd need super-computers for that...even per biome. The map is generated ONCE - when you create a new world. So while most chunks are unloaded unless you get to them they are still already predefined. At least that is how I understand the generator to work...
Infinite (Well, large enough to make it impossible for every modern computer) worlds can't be generated at once.
When you create a new world, few chunks around you get preloaded.
Of course, there is only one generator. Chunks are not "predefined", I can easily change the algorithm to depend on daytime/player health etc.

My UA on laptop: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 SeaMonkey/2.24 Lightning/2.9b1; I use Ubuntu 13.10 here.
And on desktop: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0; Here I use openSUSE 12.2.
Guys, in the new snapshot, I made a portal in the Nether to see where I'd end up. I ended up in a spider dungeon next to a mineshaft by a zombie dungeon. Does that have anything to do with terrain?

I somewhat guess because all my maps are always looking like a swiss cheese when it comes to underground - caves all over the place - So I can somewhat imagine that it has to do with terrain genration even though I actually thought that a Nether portal always leads to the Overworld (as not underground) but I might be wrong...
If the place were they spawn in the Overworld has no air - eg. an ocean biome - they spawn in the closest air pocket big enough for a portal with ground below, so it's not in the air.

You know what would be cool and even more variety? colored grass/leaves wasn't biome restricted. That way you could find lush green forests, pale forests, those gray blue forests. that would be kinda cool
Who mentioned extreme hills? I said a HILL/MOUNTAIN going DIRECTLY to the ocean, not an overhang.
Extreme hills — If hill ≠ overhang, Extreme hills should not have overhangs, should they?
Are you using some crappy font that doesn't have that symbol?

That's what the poll is for.
