Around the time that this thread was made, everyone wanted a female and/or more gender neutral damage sounds. What I don't understand is that while I'm writing this, three threads disliking the new gender neutral sound are on the first page, wanting it taken out.
Am I the only one who finds this the tiniest bit redundant?
They should have made their protest months ago, when the suggestion was still only an idea.

The new sounds are stupid. I never understood why anyone cared in the first place...

Playing since Alpha 1.1- when the grass was so neon-hued, you needed sunglasses.
yes it sucks, in no way does that new sound indicate you have taken damage.
Really? Then in that case, neither did the older "oof" sound.
It is irrelevant what the sound is, it still indicates that you took damage. It could have been Party Rock Anthem, it still indicates you took damage.
You people asked for a new sound, you got a new sound.

Hey, mentally straight-jacketed person - we don't constantly monitor forums and properly complain, like your fascist, sixth-grade bell-schedule mind seems to think we should!
You're acting like this new sound is "poured in concrete" - "decreed by heaven" - "UNCHANGEABLE" - it's really, really simple. Delete new sound. Reinstall old sound. OR BETTER YET GIVE PLAYERS A SOUND OPTION IN THE MENU - which isn't hard - and even if it is, Notch has an Ikea store full of our money and can hire some lobotomized monkey to do it for him!
But noooooo, the new sounds are programmed with SHARPIE PENS - they are PERMANENT and UNERASABLE! Change is NOT POSSSSSSIIIIIIBBBBBBLLLLLLLLEEEEEEE (and you're the intelligent one).

Your attempt is funny. The threads were up for months, literally, months. You never had to constantly monitor the forums. No one has ever said such a thing.

Why don't we add an option to make pigs blue and say "flippity-dippity-ding-dong" as well? There can't be an option/menu button for everything. If there was, where do you think people would stop? They'd want little buttons that make dirt fall, or mods you have installed on/off, or gold tools to be stronger, or a million tiny other little things that don't really matter. A menu button sounds all right at first thought, but once implemented it's on the verge of being ugly and pointless a lot of the time.
The sounds may be subject to change, but after being tested in the RC's and released in the official version of Minecraft, the likelyhood of them being changed without having to install a mod or replace the file is extremely low.
Start thinking before posting. Don't get mad at me for simply stating facts.

To be fair, these forums are full of butthurt and fail, so no one in their right mind would ever pay attention to anything that is said on them (especially Notch).
That being said the above paragraph is so blindingly correct it broke my monitor.

I think your signature pretty much sums it up.
