Beta 1.2_02 was the best for me. I honestly don't know why, but the whole time seemed just... magical, I suppose. The world was new again, there were things to do, zombies to slay, castles to be built, dungeons to be raided, manors to retire to, cigars to smoke... and I completely vanished to the outside world for three or four days. Oh well.
Anyway, the prologue to the NEW! Adventures of Sir Lysander MarginallyDwarven Skyskinner!
Why hello there, old chaps! It's me again, this time with a robo-monocle!
And this, my new ship, the HMS England **** Yeah! Far sturdier than that old airship I was in last time, I'd say.
Anyway, I have been appointed by the Her Majesty the Queen to be a Royal Explorer! So as my first expedition, I, this boat, and my faithful robotic companion Bertie will be setting off to Siberia in search of the fabled Spastic Diamonds, gems so extraordinary that they are only found in the shape of massive, spazzy Buddha statues!
Isn't it a wondrous ship?
Bertie's aboard, so I suppose the only thing left to do is...
FULL STEAM AHEAD!
Holy sweet mother of God, how long did it take to build London in the background? :awe:
And you can have the Spastic diamonds, as I have no need of them due to the generosity of Roki. I won't tell you exactly where they are, because I enjoy being an asshole, but I will give you one hint: they're located in the cold part of Siberia
Also, what texture pack is that?
Also part 2: Son of Also: the "HMS England **** Yeah!" is the most badass name for a ship, ever.
Also part 3: The Revenge: is "Lysander" a real British name? Because it sounds just real enough for someone to name their kid, but just fake enough to sound fictional.
Good Luck on your adventurings Marginally. I was blown up by a creeper that sent me straight to South America..... I'll be here looking for the Ancient Emeralds hidden deep within the Earth, protected by Large Biomes, armies of mobs, and these pesky little Testificates.....
I also have my high school final exams today and tomorrow (wish me some luck guys!). Graduation is in 4 Days..... CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
It didn't take very long at all, because admittedly there was a lot of Photoshop involved with those pictures. I actually did build the boat, though.
The texture pack is Glimmar's Steampunk, the 32x32 version.
Also's 2-3: Yes, yes it is. However, I don't think anyone's actually been named Lysander for a few decades (no one that I know, at least).

We did not invent the Algorithm. The Algorithm consistently finds Jesus. The Algorithm killed Jeeves. The Algorithm is banned in China. The Algorithm is from Jersey. The Algorithm constantly finds Jesus. This is not the Algorithm. This is Close.

My favorite version of Minecraft: Beta 1.6.6. You could punch sheep, punch TNT, install "Now That's What I Call Minecraft", and so much more. The world generation was also extremely interesting.
Bertie is a reference to the infamous Gamechap and Bertie. However, there's no one to play Bertie, so he'll go missing when the boat crashes.
Also, I still have a .minecraft folder with the NOW pack on it :3

You could always make a local-hosted server so that we could join you on your expedition.... think about it, you hunting for diamonds, me trying to make sure I don't die a horrible death while exploring some cave systems, Super doing his thing and living in the Nether, and Buddha could try and prevent you from finding his diamond mine.....or assist you, idk which he would do honestly..... he is a little shifty after all......

Might I recommend a couple mods for all your (and everyone elses') retro needs?
First is called NBXlite. It's a terrain generator that lets you pick what type of world generation you want to use. You can pick from alpha world generation, multiple versions of beta, and the current world generation. There's even an option to make a world based on the cancelled sky dimension (which is where I am in the picture of my power armor skin). The world generation is almost 100% true to the version (old seeds are close, but not quite what they were in, say, an actual beta 1.3 jar), and you get the benefits of the new features they've added since beta (potions, experience and enchanting, sticky pistons etc).
Now, having the old world generation might seem fun and all, but what if you miss the old features, like punching sheep and tnt? Well, the OldDays mod by the same guy has several "modules" you can download that let you change certain settings back to the old way at will. For example, the "actions" module allows you to turn sheep and tnt punching on/off at will, while the "mobs" module lets you go back to the old stupid pre 1.2 AI if you prefer your mobs as derps. You can also do things like go back to the old health/food system, remove the experience system entirely, and make bows fire as fast as they used to, again all while keeping the new blocks and such later minecraft versions added.
I use both mods because they let me mix and match my favorite old and new features and world gens to make my own personalized perfect minecraft experience. Sorry for the shameless plug, but I love these mods and really think they could stop all the bitching from people who miss the old minecraft experience (not to imply you are one).
How many people would the server need to support? Say 'ME!' somewhere in a post if you're interested, and I'll count them all up at noon tomorrow (13 hours from now).

totally ME!
btw, how do you get a made-up god onto the wiki? I made one named Fulmen (god of storms, chaos, defiance, and charged creepers) and he's not on the wiki. Should I post him myself, or will the moderator do it for me?

I'm going to mash signature stuff together: I tested 100% positive for MC addiction, I'm a black knight, support crappy trees, my color is red, and microsoft destroys to a cactus.

You make a post explaining him, his path, his shrine and whatnot here
And if it's good enough Archebus puts it on the wiki (or someone else, but it's basically this)
Either way, I'm gonna take on Glueco's path
It sounds fun and easy for my first try
I'm not doing Level 4 though ...

Good job! Then it's vacation time!
Awwwww well, at least the boat is cool....and good! I would hope no one would be cruel enough to name their child Lysander in the 21st century.
Also part 4: The Final Chapter: who's Bertie? Is that a reference to something? :?
Also, I still have a .minecraft folder with the NOW pack on it :3

If you do, wait till at least a week from today, when I'll be in Atlanta with my mum and a good internet connection :3
We have a server now. I'll PM you all the ip.
Have fun. It's total survival vanilla MC.
Oh... Hell.... Yeah! Marginally, you are the greatest member of this group..... hands down, right behind ArchebuS who created the religion of course.
Yeah, I love those mods, but haven't gotten around to installing them on my current .jar.
What do you mean?
