He fixed a lot of bugs it is just the ones that arose are much worse. So he didn't rush it nor are there more bug it is just they are worse. Although, he should have caught them like the tool one or the boat one.

Well, theres that horrible bouncing SMP one, and the map and the boat, the chest and the black screen.
And many more.
don't know what the bouncing smp one is or the map one or the chest. I think black screen has always been a problem with each update. The tool one though needs immediate fixing though it makes the game almost impossible to play.

Start up your OWN sever and then join it.
Then see.
Also the chest one is when you open a chest you get black screen!
Jebs always helped with the coding.
But he's now on another project,
Jeb has only been around a few months. Minecraft has been around a few years, and was worked on only by Notch. Nobody else did anything. Are you saying that every single update before Jeb came around was bad and buggy?
There should definitely be more testing before release but that is what we are here for to catch things they miss. If it was a final product this would be inexcusable but it is beta so as long as we report the bugs and they fix them all will be fine.
Is this the first update you've had for this game? Everytime there's an update, content additions or bug fixes, there's always a few more updates that fix stuff within a day or two.
Remember 1.5? It was 1.5_01.
The game always gets adjusted when there's an update. I've been here since September, back when the game was in Alpha. I honestly can't remember a decent update where there wasn't stuff needing fixing right after the release.
Just because there are adjustments to be made doesn't mean it's "rushed". :dry.gif: And for the sake of debate, let's say it was. So? Isn't he fixing the issues fairly quickly? Haven't there been like four separate updates already today to try and get things smoothed out?
I can't wait until Notch puts out a picture perfect update with minimal problems, just to see what the heck you guys can come up with to complain about next. "Why didn't he add more? Clearly he made this in 20 minutes!"
Since early Alpha, I find that the first few days of release always has bugs - the night before I backup my .minecraft directory, then for the next few days deny Minecraft from being able to log into the server for updates... then if it looks clear I give it a whirl knowing I can just copy my previous version right back if it starts causing issues.
In this case though - 4 patches in one day *and* the bug list grew longer and not shorter... I think that may have been a mis-step. It always sounds impressive to fix a lot of bugs (fixed 32 yesterday - 34 today!) but if you created 50 new and more serious bugs? Now its not so impressive...
Don't get me wrong though, I'm sure the team will work again tomorrow and we'll see a few new patches - and hopefully by the end of day have something playable in 1.6.x (well we have to - its too unstable to upgrade now... they better fix it before leaving for E3 :wink.gif: - until then I'll just stick with my 1.5 :smile.gif:
And my fave pet peeve for the moment - why bother fixing ice to reform if now all my water freezes... just take that back out (my waterways will be better for it)... no one really cares if ice refreezes I don't think hehe :smile.gif:

He's at 16.4 thats not good.
Plus this isn't my first update.
Nope. But it wouldn't matter to any of you. If he released it in 2 weeks, you would all say "OMG NOTCH YOU LAZY PERSON WHY CAN'T YOUR RELEASE THIS SOONER!!! IM NERD RAGINNNNNN!"
But now when he releases it in a timely manner you go "OHHHHHH NOTCH YOU RUSHED IT WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE MORE TIME!!! IM STILL NERD RAGINNNN"
I'm wondering if he rushed it? Or he just fixed the 100 and added 200 more.
this is just my thought, but the first update jebs not around...and this is the results, coincidence...?
Heheh I think so.

I don't follow your reasoning. Notch developed the game by himself for most of the beginning of it's existence.
The bugs that 1.6 added do seem to be worse than the ones it fixed though.

My humble LPs can be found here.

I think you mean 1.6.4 -- and that is good. Hopefully we'll be running 1.6.5 soon, as that will be even better.
