I've been having problems with mobs spawning next to my bed when I go to sleep.
I realize there is a bug that makes this happen, and I'm searched the problem numerous times to find a solution.
I changed my floor from to and moved the bed away from the wall (as the Wiki instructed).
However, I go to sleep and mobs still spawn! I'm not sure what to do anymore, does anyone have a solution?
Here's a screenshot of the bed and location in conflict:
Also, I had a bed against the wall in a previous world I had, but it was in a well-lit cave base, where the opposite side of the wall was not open space.

Light up your house more, make sure there are no possible ways at all for them to get in. Remove all open windows, even if they are 1 block. Make sure you have a roof everywhere, even if mobs can't get up there.
Basically, seal yourself in a vault, then go to bed.
Yeah if it is possible to get in, even if the mobs have to FLY to get there, the mob will path in and wake you up at night. Adding a door will fix the problem.
After fixing your walls and floors, remove and replace the bed. I think it checks the "vulnerability" of a bed situation only when it is put down, not every time you use it.

Ahh, thanks for this too!

This is probably my problem, as my roof is open and a have a stair case to get up there. I didn't know I had to seal up the roof. Thank you!
