Mine was when I decided to light a forest on fire for fun, after it got boring I went down into my mines and looked for some iron, about a day later (minecraft day) I heard some crackling and sure enough my house was on fire. I was like 200 blocks away from where I lit the fire and still don't know how it got traveled so far.

Placing a tnt block in my house by mistake and, being new to the game and not knowing water defuses tnt, tearfully blowing up my house. Then finding out water defuses tnt the very next day. :sleep.gif:
Well, I had just started playing Classic, and was making a pretty awesome base. Now, one time, I logged in, loaded up my world, and went inside my cave, as any person would do. My roof had been driving me nuts and I wanted to civilize the rest of the cave. For one reason or another, I eventually decided to go outside. I think it was to build a sunroom or something similar.
Well, unbeknownst to I, I had accidentally hit the F5 key (somehow...). And as you all know, F5 in Classic makes it rain. And when it rains, it pours.
I break the wall for where I intended to put the sunroom, and start walking out. I place a few glass blocks along the roof and walls, covered by an outline of wood.
You can imagine my surprise when I looked outside.
I scurry back inside, and quickly seal up the entrance to my unfinished sunroom. After all, I don't want my subterranean base flooding. And then what do I do? Do something sensible, like search Google or the forums, perhaps?
No, of course not.
I rush onto these very forums, click on the very first place that would let me post. Because, you know, my topic is more important than all the other topics that actually contribute to discussion. I quickly write something about the "Secret Friday Updates" I heard so much about; could this be one of them?
As I wrote the post, I had the sinking feeling that I shouldn't be posting it. And it only increased as the post went on. I could feel my craziness infecting the post, but my fingers were already moving towards the "Submit" button.
Hitting it was the most embarassing thing I've ever done on the Internet. Luckily, I don't think it posted, due to some forum error or whatnot.
On my first night of Single player survival i built a really small hidey hole with wide opening, a creeper crawled in while i was trying to find new crafting recipies and exploded, which made me jump out of my seat knocking it backwards.

I finally began to find iron ore and diamonds near a lava source so i cautiously mined near the lava and then i heard a hissing noise and a creeper blew me just over the lava lake and i landed safely then another creeper came up behind me and blew me into the lava lake.
Lapis lazuli fell down a long shaft into a lava lake below it.
I dived in after it.
(Amazingly I actually managed to survive with a sliver of health by floundering my way to the edge of the lava lake and then tipping a bucket of water over myself, but still, I felt ridiculous...)
I've been working on a map for my friend for our server and I installed risugami's elemental arrows mod and randomly fired at a mountain. after a while I had made a massive tunnel.
but all I had to do was fill up the entrance.
Never use tnt randomly.

Creepers have one intention. Almost like it was programmed into its brain. although it doesn't have one because it's head is filled with TNT. Why don't sulphur drops blow up when a creeper drops them?

same. i made a roleplay place to save TNT under my house and I was like okay let me eat some apples and i put a TNT in middle of my kitchen, I'm retarded so i clicked on it and lost 24 diamonds, about a 100 iron and 200 TNT blocks....
****!
I found my first diamonds. Made a diamond sword ( I always carry a crafting table) and decided to head back up. On my way up there was this area with a bit of lava. No it was not some narrow stone bridge over a massive lava lake, it was just a regular tunnel with a 1x1 hole in the floor. That hole led to a maybe 5x5 room with lava in it. "Oh look a hole I'll just jump over that!"
Yeah.. well.. Lost a diamond sword, 8 slilmeballs, 1,5 stacks of iron, half a stack of gold and all my arrows.

All those nights were spent high up on a tower of dirt :tongue.gif:
Repeat daily for confidence boost.
