I think it should remain a mod.
Add too much and the things it adds dont fit the game (apart from birds and rabbits)
I think it should be in the game, with a switch (on/off) for each creature or creep.
That would make the game a bit more intresting (and harder)

Then why not implement every mod ever created, with an on/off, as well as an on/off to everything currently in game?
Point is, I think this mod blows, you love it, it should be a mod, to modify the game the way you like to play it.
The option of all mods in game is just bad, because that is excess code, that doesn't necessarily work with other mods, and just clutters the game code and UI screens.
Also, if you want this in, why should it get special attention over the other mods? Obviously not every one likes it, so saying this should be in the game would also mean it would only be fair to add all mods into the game.

i think notch needs to add, SOME, things from mo creatures, my first recommendation would of been werewolves as they give the gold a purpose but now that gold is useful i take that back, besides we need more ores to mine first and formost. i still think the wraith would be a nice add on, a second source of redstone and gunpowder and that can fly, not enough airborne anything in this games overworld. I think that the dolphin and sharks should be added as they are, as like airborne enemies, there just are to few sea based anything. most others i can agree are worthless, lions don't give you anything unique and thus make them pointlessly additional danger in the daytime, same wtih boars, bears are kinda useful sense they drop fish and it is kinda neat to not have to fish for fish, but the wolves are almost completely pointless even before notch added his own, they only spawned at night and attacked you in the darkness, they where friendly int he day but you had to watch them so they wouldnt despawn thus making it entirely pointless to think about them. the horses im 50 50 on, though having a ride is cool and all and the pegasis can fly, they are fairly lack luster

Personally I think Mo' Creatures is the best mod (no I haven't played it yet , because the update v. 1.4 came out). Mo' Creatures mod is a think that you should find normally in minecraft.
All my friends began play minecraft when I told them about that mod.
Why I think it should be ingame (with an on/off switch):
- This is a big mod that I can see fit in in minecraft
- It does add a lot of new cool creatures.
- And it makes the game a little harder

True... well this sucks though, because mo'creatures doesn't seem to be working properly at all on my computer
Notch would not add it before he knew it would work on computers, and he would change and modify it to fit into minecraft.
Minecraft + Mo' Creatures = Truth <3

Playin' minecraft .. I'm lost ..
Best mod Link Removed ever, check it out and make it better.
I see a lot of lobbying for an on/off switch. I sort of agree, only I propose the on/off switch be made in the least straightforward manner possible:
Specifically, I want official mod support. If having a mod becomes as easy as installing a texture pack (i.e. just put it in the folder and go) then choosing which mods you want becomes, essentially, an on/off switch.
It's the best of both worlds - people who like Mo'Creatures get it quick and easy (and - hopefully - with an official API it won't break on updates), and people who don't like it don't have to have it. We all win :smile.gif:

This forum ticked me off so much I went to random.org and set my password to something I'll never be able to remember, then switched my password reset to a throwaway.

You should get it automatically when you update I think. Would be best (ofc with an on/off switch)..

I think we can strike a compromise here, too. There's currently a divide between server mods (like Bukkit and whatnot) and client mods (I believe Mo'Creatures is one of the latter). If, as part of the Mod API, servers were able to send clients mods required to play on that server (like, for example, Unreal Tournament used to), then you'd be able to get the mod without even having to find and install it yourself.
Plus then you'd be able to switch to a non-Mo'C server with no effort :smile.gif:

Why? because too many of the mobs are just not in the style of Minecraft. (most of them actually)
