Following the great success of the first Weekend of Minecraft, reaching nearly 70,000 unique viewers, a second event is being planned!

The event will be taking place on July 1-4, exact times are still to be decided.

To start, the event is now going to be for charity in support of Child's Play! You can read more about their organization on their [website].

There are also going to be many, many auctions during this time period! A few of which are going to be some sort of photos autographed by none other than Notch himself! We also currently have a total of over $3500 worth in prizes!


For further and up-to-date information on the event(such as streamers, sponsors, etc.) keep your eye on @Micleee and @WoMinecraft on Twitter. Also keep your eye on the Weekend of Minecraft website! Keep your eyes on this thread as well, I'll be updating it regularly.

Yes, the stream will be on the Weekend of Minecraft website.

The last WoM, I'm sad to say, was rather unorganised and much could've been improved. Particularly in the public servers which were an absolute mess, wrecked maps, griefing, complete lack of any sort of events etc.
The livestream itself seemed to be quite consistently inaccessible to many people and whilst it was working, let no offence be intended, it was a bit boring and unorganised aswell.

What I'd like to ask is, what have you learnt from the last WoM that'll be put to use in this new WoM?
