A buddy and I will be making the trip from Vancouver, up in Canada.
I'm not entirely familiar with anything in Bellevue, however somewhere with foodstuffs readily available for a crowd would probably be the best option.
As much as I'm sure it would be fun to meet Notch, to see what kind of person he actually is. I don't think I'd ever go as far as flying out to some other country JUST to meet someone who is sort of "celebrity" status - as far as the indie games world that is.
And I know the idea isn't solely to meet Notch, it's to meet everyone of the community but, lets be honest, the only person really worth meeting would be Notch as quite frankly. There aren't many people in the community that you could honestly say "I'd pay X amount of money for a plane ticket, accommodation and other expenses, to meet that person, I bet we'd have a jolly good time of it!"
Don't worry, I'm sure the feeling is mutual. Else, lol, sad.
same here I dont think I really wanna pay like 1000$ just to meet notch....only if I had that time and money

Can't get wood, eh? I think they make pills for that.
You guys up there should consider getting a stream or something similar going when ti all goes down, if possible. If I recall, Sprint got 4G going around there... I think. Setup a mobile WiFI spot and get a basic stream going would be awesome. The folks going to the meet and people who can't should be at least be able to chat...
I personally live in the SF Bay Area in California so... nope, can't go. I just did a drive going up to Santa Rosa and back for my job. Pulled about 150 miles... that's a small fraction of what I would need to do to get to Seattle...
We should Totally get someone to set up a Mic Chat room for people like me all the EFFING WAY IN LOUISIANNA who can't come because of ze hamn school. I'll only be 7 days away from 13-edness so my voice won't be THAT bad.
I could Stream it from my phone, it would be good practice for PAX, since I want to do it there, as well. I'll have to use ustream though, it's the only one with an app on Android for streaming that I know of.
I live in Port Orchard myself and plan on attending myself.I seriously hope you guys figure out where its gonna be at.I promise not to to ask a bunch of stupid questions :tongue.gif:

North Tacoma here. Pretty good chance I'll be able to make it up there, just name the time and place. I have transportation and could pick up 1-3 other folks between here and there (Tacoma, University Place, Fife, Federal Way, Auburn, etc, so we can cruise down the HOV lane on SR167 to 405), as long as you don't mind squeezing into a 4-door '98 Camry.
Wife is itching to go, but works that day. She loves spending the evening watching/coaching me playing Alpha.
If anyone around the south Sound is interested, give me a holler so we can try to lock it in.
I think we will start voting tomorrow as a lot of people seem to be favoring the Park / Bellevue idea. I like the Park idea a lot due to the fact people could bring some things like some balls or maybe some board games and we could all just chill out and talk with Notch.
I am putting my vote toward Downtown Park. It is very large, and there are plenty of places to gather.
Plus, something that hasn't really been mentioned before is that the park is literally right across the street from Bellevue Square so if the weather does turn sour we have an easy back-up. Not only that but there are tons of places to get food, including the mall.
The park also has its own lots so parking is free and very easy to find. If parking next to the park does become an issue, however, the mall has it's own garages (once again, right across the street) that are free, and open to the public.
I am looking forward to this, it seems like a good time.

No one wants to see you.
But I probably wouldn't go even if I was near it, to be honest. I'd probably find most of you odd.
we'll get back to you on how it went

See? I'm not so malicious...
The date this would happen is the 31st no times given yet since we still need to hear from Notch.

I'm pretty certain I will have my own ride.
heh... I'm almost 20, and my parents still freak out.
Also, somebody should whip up a quick Creepy cosplay, and sneak up on him at the con going "SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS"
