We will probably lose about 80-95% of the griefers, but because we will have way less griefers, it will be easier to exactly pick out who the griefers are and ban them across multiple servers.
notch should add a command like "/whodid" or "/check",check who did the hole(griefed)
There is /pget in D3 servers, I really think he should release it for all servers. And WoM has one too. If they would release those commands, they would help us a lot, and also make the OPs job a little bit easier.
The problem with this is that the server would need to record ALL players in a list. In addition to this, each block would require a second byte to identify the players according to their list number. This would be a major change, to which one of the consequences would be the inability to use old maps without conversion.
We'll lose most of them right away and then we'll lose most of the remaining ones over time. After all, some people may purchase a premium account so that they can grief, but how many people would purchase a second or third premium account once they've been banned from all of the good servers?
We will not lose 100% of griefers. New players will come, some of them might grief.
Notch stated that some people bought the game for 0.1 euro...
Everything is hackable.
And everything is possible.
Even that Notch will be the richest guy in the world.
Actually, they tried to buy it for 0.1 euro, but it only went through paypal as a donation.
I think around 95% would be a better number for griefers that would leave. There really aren't that many paid griefers, at least not nearly as many as there are freeloaders. With only a fraction of the current griefer population, it would actually be possibly to ban every griefer that exists from your server, and pretty much never have to worry about it again.
I think we'll lose most, but determined greifers who know **** about java might crack the system and free-play MP.

At the end of the day it's the chair I trust
The cushion is comfy and the works don't rust
With a straight line of vision to my Elvis bust
Watch the kingdom, eat the bread crust
And it will probobly turn into a world like the servers where the OP's are never on, the owner is gone, their is no spawnjail, and the immediate area looks like something that went through a wood chipper then put back.

TNT. Lots and lots of TNT. (For survival Multiplayer)
Other than that, the tactics of griefing will probably stay the same.
