LUA scripting. I'm torn.
On the one hand, LUA scripting opens up endless possibilities for people to create their own gamemodes, which is great. Knowing the creativeness of this community some of the things that come from it will be awesome.
On the other hand, i have played Garry's Mod before and i know how utterly frustrating it is trying to connect to a server without first having to download about five million LUA files that you don't want or even need.
i really hate downloading lua files, but as long as they are saved to a folder somewhere, i think it will be fine. i remember playing blockland about a year ago and you had to download every add-on manually or else it would take forever to load a single server (that was the main reason i quit.)
Yea. I hope lua will be well implemented and wont be just a couple of boring useless functions. But still, if we acually get cool things done in lua, minecraft will explode with awesomeness. (even though it already has!)

So, what are your views?
It's spelled "Lua" too, it's not an abbreviation.

EDIT:
Lua will be server side only.
Quality of output = Skill * Effort

Like I said before, I always yell when we're talking about programming languages.
I don't mind when we get it, if we do. :biggrin.gif:
We all know what everyone means.
(personally I think lUA is funniest)
